  • Looking back over the thread, I see a lot of people annoyed with our decision making. We had 19 turnovers, is which unacceptable, but according to the ESPN box score the Shockers had 21 assists with 28-48 (58.3%) shooting.

There weren't many holes in that defense, and our young guys ran into too many defenders, but we still found them.

    • Good contributions from Wessel and Cotton on defense - helped cut-off the backdoor cuts.

      Great game by Hall.

Clutch free throws down the stretch my Malcolm.

Sure, we'll blame it on that........

        • AF coach says that WSU is the toughest, most physical team they have played. Thanks to USGov for spending my tax dollars well to provide video feed for this game.

They were gassed. Our TO's were just of the dumbass variety. I think we just played sloppy. The fatigue factor was definitely there but it's not an excuse.

              • One thing we're getting lax at is protecting the ball. Need to work Williams and Early on that, for sure.

I think the altitude was a factor in general and had an impact on our guys. Not sure I can say it contributed much to our turnover total though. I think those were more an issue of not playing smart.

All-in-all I think the team handled the altitude pretty well. Carl was sucking wind at the end though, but he also played by far the most minutes I think.

                  • Our RPI jumped around 10 spots and our SOS went up 100 points approximately. Warren shows our RPI at 11 now.

                      • The reason we had so many turnovers was the gas the Air Force pumps into the arena. This is the same gas that Mike "Illuminati" Kennedy wouldn't discuss in the pregame. WAKE UP SHEEPLE!

                        • We'll need to play much better to have a chance @ Tennessee on December 13. Overall, I am happy though. The effort and intensity was much improved in the second half even if the execution wasn't great. HCGM made some pretty effective adjustments.

Let's get EO back and healthy in time for the game in Knoxville.

                            • I certainly hope this was a learning experience.

Ron, shoot the ball when you're open.
Cleanthony, sometimes you have to go get the pass. It's not always going to be perfect.
One of these days all these free throw give away promotions we're running is going to bite us.

Sorry, had to get some frustrations out.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Thanks. Always nerve-racking when you have to rely on your free-throw defense to win the game.

The 19-9 turnover differential in favor of AFA was a very significant factor keeping the game close as well. Shocks had moved out to 10-point advantage (at 62-52 I think) then turned the ball over on 3 consective possessions which allowed AFA to get back into the game.
