But I don't think money is or will be an issue.

Alabama's Nick Saban is the highest paid coach at $4 million a year. Oklahoma's Bob Stoops makes $3 million. Ohio State's Jim Tressel, Florida's Urban Meyer and South Carolina's Steve Spurrier each make $2 million annually.

Spurrier is at SCU to prove he can win anywhere. He's not there for the money. He could have gone virtually anywhere and demanded and gotten 3 million. I doubt that raising the new BB coach's salary a few hundred thousand, to what $1 million, would warrant an increase even in his mind.

SC fans are saying Odom's salary is $910,000 which includes incentives and appearances. SC will probably bump that to an even mil for the new coach. $250K more than what we are paying which isn't bad, but the deal sealer is going back home. Like I said, from an outsider's point-of-view, the stars are aligning for GM just perfectly for this job. That is just too hard to ignore.

If the guy was going to move, it'd probably be better now than later in regards to his family. They've been here 10 months and are just now settling in, moving back to SC now would not be another Shock to the GM family.

I just dont see him staying, but I hope I am wrong. This is where the guy is from, has been waiting for this job for a long time, and it just makes sense. If he leaves, I personally will not embrace the new coach WSU brings in, and it will take longer then a week for me to trust another new coach.

If he leaves, who would we get??? I hope it would be someone who can talk these recruits into staying for next year.

I so hope that he does not decide to leave - - I think he is about the best we can have right now to rebuild our program and keep it at a high level.

Sounds like what everyone here criticized KSU for doing. Keep an assistant to keep the recruits.

Big Show just signed a contract to be back with the WWE. Funny thing was a year ago, Big Show quit and wanted to be boxer and he lost 60 pounds.
