I'm worried about us. Losing to SIU doesn't say a damn thing about them. It says that a blatant, amazing flaw has been found in our team that is so glaring and obvious that even a team as bad as SIU can exploit it. And I'm worried that if we don't fix it very quickly, we can kiss the rest of this season goodbye.

But worried about SIU? Pft.

As for our little ranking discussion, Wichita State now moves to 4-5 in Week #6 as a ranked team. 1 win over a team with a winning record, 3 losses to teams that would be .500 if we'd won the game.

Guess we'll get to see if I'm right, as this team won't play another game as a ranked team after Saturday. We'll see how they respond without the glare of the spotlight that they've been utterly incapable of performing in.

Good post. Here’s all I have to say about tonight’s game:
The recipe on how to defeat Wichita State is out and it’s not going to change from now until the end of this season. Unless this team can find an efficient way to penetrate the inside zone, expect similar results like tonight’s game. Bottom line is this; never let the officiating decide the outcome of the game! I agree, tonight’s officiating was horrible! But letting a much smaller team stay in the game was even worse! As someone mentioned earlier, there must be something going on inside the locker room that we don’t know about because this is NOT the same team that started 19-3.

As for our ranking, I don’t care if we see the polls until next season! Maybe that’s been the issue all along! Now more than ever, it’s time to focus on the basics and worry about the rankings when this team has re-earned it!

Wow. Does the KU board have a meltdown thread? It should. Unbelievably, this is worse than our SIU loss.

They have been talking all week and even before about whether KU was overrated. They thought KU would still win the B12 with relative ease, but still have not been impressed. As I type Al Wallace of Fox4 also just called TCU one of the worst teams in B12 history.... First time in 7 years they have lost two in a row.

Sad thing is, the rest of the B12 will find a way to f(*k this opportunity up and let KU cruise to another championship.
