WSU VERSUS DEPAUL PREDICTIONS AND PREGAME DISCUSSION
I knew it was a ballroom. I think that may be slightly larger than what the "official capacity" of my HS gym was. I'm guessing that there will be a pretty fair amount of Shocker fans there to make it sound loud when we're playing. Relatively speaking of course.
Why do all of these tournaments get played in the worst arenas/gyms? I don't get how these tournaments continue to be played and deemed successful. They're downright sad attendance wise. Is it just to give the team a vacation?

Lets be honest here, most of these trips aren't going to draw more than a couple thousand anyway so there's no sense in playing in something much bigger. The point of these tournaments is better and more games on a neutral court. I think you can play 4 games and it only counts as 2 against the limit. Plus, it allows for the fanbases to travel a little and for schools to get some TV exposure. Even Maui only holds a few thousand and that's the premier tournament.
That looks like a low ceiling for a gym. You've got to have a low trajectory for the long shots or else a 3/4 court buzzer-beating 3-pt shot may hit the lights.
