How do you beat a top 25 team that plays tenacious D. at their yard? VCU sowed the wind and reaped the black and yellow whirlwind. We kept our turnovers to a mild roar, we capitalized from their mistakes. Our guards handled their pressure about as good this early as we could of expected. They almost got lucky again when D-Will slipped on the in bounds play. They missed plenty of throws and that helped us. More Shocker games in Nov. this Season than ever before. Our D. is ahead of our Offense right now but our offense will catch up.

Mal did fantastic breaking the press. All the guards did great streaking down the sides. Mal hit them at full speed and they set up the offense or passed it to a streaking big in the paint. Tekele, Mal, and Demetric were good to very good. Fred and Ron weren't bad. Evan didn't get it, but he does other things.

For those with ESPNU, how was the VCU gym? Was it sold out and did it live up to THEIR hype?

The VCU fans were pretty much taken out of the game. Every time VCU got a lead the Shox eliminsted it. The crowd got "loud" a couple of times when VCU took a lead, but they didn't maintain any noise. I didn't think the crowd was ever a factor.

They have a very involved student section, but they have a much smaller arena and much more students. From what I hear, they have less overall noise.

I think Cle will get better and better every game as he gets more comfortable. His shots will start falling, too.
