MVC Non-Conference Games

Tulsa beat SDSU last night and is 3-0. Should be an interesting litmus test - they play the Shockers, Missouri State, and Creighton over a 3 week period coming up.

Heck, TU might as well rejoin the MVC for basketball.

Good thought, but the likelihood of this happening ranks right up there with WSU bringing back football, bringing back football, bringing back football.

Just being facetious. But since you brought it up; I'd say, IF, TU were smart, they'd get back in the MVC. ConUSA isn't much of a football conference. I believe everybody has ConUSA ranked #12 in RPI. That's the bottom of FBS football. Every conference after that is FCS. And football doesn't do much at TU anyway. Stadium only seats 30,000. They never sell out. And then there's this; https://bleacherreport.com/articles/...tadiums/page/2. TU could probably go independent, and do just as well with attendance and wins.

If WSU brought back football, we would have to start at the bottom, the cost would be incredible, and the wins would be few and far between for a lot of years. If TU were to rejoin the MVC, it would be a step-up in basketball conference from ConUSA, And at minimal cost. But like you say, "the likelihood of this happening".

Would be a nice win for the Valley but I'm not holding my breath. Bears up 8-6 with 13:46 left in the first half.

That really doesn't suprise me as he is athletically superior to those D-II types, but doesn't have the experience to compete on the big stage. Maybe someday.

Evansville rallies to get by Western Illinois 49-44 on Saturday. Colt played 3 minutes but did not score so he is not quite yet recovered from his hip pointer injury yet.
