At least Malone is at the NCAA D-II level. Their 1st non-D-I game, Philander Smith, was an NAIA school.

I guess NC-Central, Western Carolina and Howard don't look quite so bad in comparison. And we really had no control over the WCU and Howard games. I have seen much worse opponents at the Chuck in recent years.

Now that is a very funny line.

I have been wondering about Morris's mea culpa or double talk explanation, but I have sworn off all political news. Since November 6, I have kept my oath to myself.

I'm curious...is this guy also Casey on MVCFANS. The reason I ask is Lusk... referenced he posted elsewhere (Casey posted on MVCFANS) talking about being wrong about this being a special year for the Bears...blah, blah, blah. Just askin!!!

Unequivically, with the power of 1000 suns, they are one in the same.

I know it seems pretty obvious. You got to get up pretty early (10 am or so) to get one by ole' SHOXMVC.

Even though 95% of his posts are laced with idiocy, I give him props for showing up with his paw up his tush.

Isn't that a bit much? How could one person do anything with the power of a thousand suns? We have 1 sun in our solar system and even that is nearly too much. If we had only TWO suns can you imagine the solar radiation and intense heat the solar system would experience? Not to mention the strange gravitational metrics of a binary sun system. 1000!? C'mon, that's exaggerating just a tad.

Indiana State beating a respectable Ball State 31-19 on the road.

Bradley losing at South Florida 21-9.

MVC having a banner night so far-

                    Trees win at Ball State.

Shockers win against DePaul on a neutral court.

                    Creighton destroying Longwood.

                    Illinois State destroying Fairleigh Dickinson.

Evansville leading Tennessee Tech 33-17 at halftime on the road.

SIU leading SIU-E on the road 57-47 w/8 minutes left.

BU lost at South Florida 81-63, the only blip on an otherwise nice night for the league and the Shockers' future RPI.

                    • MVC has the 4th highest winning % of any conference, but evidently the SoS is horrible. Nolan has the MVC 19th in RPI. Notable EPIC FAILS are MSU (RPI 344) and Drake (RPI 347).

I know RPI is meaningless in November, but WSU (rpi 96) is 5th in the Valley before including the sin (that was supposed to be "win", but that's a meaningful typo) over #297 DePaul. VCU is currently rpi 114.

We may be 5-0, but until some of our opponents start winning some games, 5-0 is "nice", but that's about it.

On the bad shooting - especially from the line - I think the Shox just haven't adjusted to the depth perception in that ballroom. They may never adjust, but in "real" arenas, they tend to shoot better.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

                      • I think a good general rule is to not let yourself look at the RPI until the first week of December at the earliest. Right now, the Big East is the 11th rated conference, right behind the Ohio Valley. Air Force is #3 overall and has played absolutely pitiful teams. It usually takes 8-10 games for each team every season before the system starts to reflect reality.

                        • I wouldn't put much stock in RPI until after Christmas. There will still be a lot of movement then, but things start taking shape.
