Then in my opinion, they don't weigh heavily enough. There's no way I can see those guys having "grades" like that with so many turnovers.

MA went 8-11 from the field, including 3-4 from 3, so his turnovers were more than offset by his good shooting. DW's TO's are offset a little by his 5 assists. Early's story is the same as MA. I agree with you, I think TO's are more important than this rating makes them.

Maybe TO's need to be broken up into 2 different calculations, one for TO's that lead to points and one where they don't and put a heavier weight on the ones that do.

Obviously this kind of analysis isn't my thing, and I like what the prouty shows us. I'd never considered the TO aspect until this game when I saw Mal had the highest rating. I understand that he shot very well, but TOs have always been a very important part of a PGs duties and it bothers me. DWill did, to some degree, help himself out in my mind by at least getting his ratio to 1:1. Still not good for a guard like him, but better than Mal's.

Maybe I'm being too hard because of how ugly that game was and how poorly the starters valued the ball. TOs kill me. And they killed the team last night.
