I know there is some other dynamics involved, however, I find some interesting numbers at work.

At the end of each of their last games, Hall was listed #1, Baker #5, and Wessel #6. Baker started out #1 and Wessel was #4 after the 4th game. Now, Hall is #2, Baker #7, and Wessel #8.

After the 1st game, Williams started out #10, but continued to improve. Cotton was last at #12 as of the 5th game and Wiggins, who had been #12, was still #11 as late as the 8th game. Now, Early is #1, Williams #4, Cotton #5, and Wiggins #6.

On the reverse, Lufile got as high as #6 as of the 11th game, but has dropped like a rock during Valley play to 11th. White, who is in last, has had his moments against good competition. He recorded the highest single game Prouty of the year of any player against VCU, had quality ratings for the Tulsa and Air Force games, and was the 4th highest player for the Tennessee game.
