Beakers to Iowa State? I wouldn’t have known. It should startle the powers-that-be that this former rabid sports fan in Kansas has literally not watched a second of live action of “The Flagship” this season…and have had very limited doses of watching highlights.

If you hate the state of college basketball or college athletics in general, that’s how you fix it. You don’t even acknowledge that it exists. At some point, the TV money will dry up.

Granted, this next part is fictitious, but I always wondered why Rudy’s dad only watched Notre Dame football. He scoffed at the notion of checking on a Purdue game at halftime. Now, in my advanced years, I understand it. I pretty much only care about the Broncos, the Yankees, and any WSU team.

Even as much as I am NOT a beaker fan, in the past I would catch enough coverage via local sports coverage and social media posts to at least know a few names of players on the beaker squad. Other than Hunter Whatshisname (Dickinson? Davidson? Douchebagson?) I don't think I could name a single player.
