"Ahigh school athletic director in northern Virginia is under investigation for allegedly exploiting homelessness to boost the football team's roster, falsely classifying two transfer students as "homeless" to facilitate their recruitment. The Fairfax County Times reported it obtained a series of text messages implicating Hayfield Secondary School athletic director Monty Fritts in a plan to exploit homelessness loopholes to recruit players. The texts imply Fritts planned to use homelessness—a status meant to protect vulnerable students—as a tool for athletic gain. The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act of 1987 protects homeless students, including granting them the right to automatically enroll in a school, the newspaper reported..."

Cold had a vald point about a $500K NILteam playing a $5 Mil NIL team. Welcome to the future world of college basketball.
The Shox pretty much gave up after 8 minutes, but a $5 mill team is going to do that to a $500K team a lot of times. When players can't score at the basket and can't score from 3 amd the other team can hit from anywhere any time, it can make players wonder why they are on the court with their opponent.
I think this Shocker team is performing above their collective BBIQ. Bad BBIQ is a reason for a player to not get minutes and end up in the portal. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

The truth is, there's diminishing returns with throwing money at a problem like this. A $2.5M team is gonna be able to beat a $5M team more often that you'd expect. And with the right coach, a lot more than you'd expect. We've always been on a razor thin margin with respect to chances for national success. Gregg Marshall did A LOT with what he had. What price do you think our F4 players would command in today's marketplace? That's what we're going to need to spend going forward if we want to compete like we have in the past.
AND, Mills is gonna have to turn into a top 20 coach. Or should I say, REVEAL that he is a top 20 coach... soon.
