It’s time for this to get addressed.

Where is Armchair? What are they doing? I’m not up-to-date on Instagram, but on Facebook and Twitter/X, they have ZERO activity since late September.

In another thread, I mentioned how a friend who donates hasn’t heard from them in a year. A couple others reported similar lack of communication.

Are they struggling? Are they mishandling funds? Are they just incompetent? Okay, that’s getting dramatic, but in absence of hearing something…ANYTHING, we tend to fill in the blanks on our own, whether our speculation is accurate or not.

Armchair Strategies , it’s time to tell us what the hell is going on.

This article will give you an idea on the typical NIL deal in the NCAA. Most of the big hitters have MAJOR social media presences and are football stars. The typical football player at OU or Alabama makes $50-60K.

But it's $150K starting at Bug'aha State.



P.S. MOST schools can't just drop a couple hunny in a player's account. The player has to have some level of national notoriety to command the big bucks (100's of thousands to millions).

That is one of the "starting points" that has been proposed by the new ncaa president. The other two were "enhanced" educational opportunities for athletes and the creation of an elite subset of schools willing to make the financial commitment to its athletes. I have no idea what "enhanced" educational opportunities mean but the fact that the article I read never once used the term student/athlete but instead opted for "athlete" only. Oh how quickly things get lost never to be regained.
