According to these tweets Kadeem was denied a release to Wichita State by ULL not that we had a scholarship available for him anyway. Obviously, we have something going on be able to attract players like Armstead, Baker and Coleby to pay their own way for a year in wait of a scholarship.

Apparently Kadeem lead the Sun Belt last year in FG % and in blocked shots.

Wonder if any or all of the 5 players that left ULL were denied release or just Kadeem?

Two of them, J.J. Thomas and Raymone Andrews, were listed as inactive prior to the end of last season. The were granted releases.

The other two players that left were Darnell Jackson, a 6-3 guard who would have been a senior this year, and Kentwan Smith, a 6-8, 200lb forward, who would have been a soph this year. Jackson averaged 12.5 minutes and 2.5 points per game last year and shot the ball poorly. Smith averaged 7.4 minutes and 2.4 points per game.

Don't really find anything on Jackson and Smith but they may have been gently pushed out the door.
