What Patty (and her ilk) doesn't get is that we're not trying to build a quilting bee/comfort the nerds team. Sports are about competition, winning and losing, just like a lot of life. Unfortunately, there are too many Pattys running around. ANYONE that believes, right or wrong, that they are marginalized, or disenfranchised, or bullied, or unlucky or whatever...if you don't have what you want, it's obviously the fault of someone else. And if you can't find a shortcoming, you make one up.

"Oh...I don't want to work and for some reason, no one will pay me for my finger paintings. I know......I'll color my hair light plum, never shower and tattoo my eyelids then blame 'the man' for not hiring me."

Public education is more interested in teaching kids about their sexual preference options than how to manage a household or shop for insurance or the pros and cons of borrowing. We've hired more than twice the amount of administrators in the last 30 years than we have teachers ( ABC can correct me here if I'm off). Who thinks that's a good idea?

The reason things are worse today, in the greatest country the world has ever seen, is because of people like Patty. Worthless, do nothing, contribute nothing instigators that spend their lives suckling at the teat of government which is increasing funded by a dwindling number of Americans. This path is more certain to fail than Patty aka Shocker Lady is to stalk student athletes.

The pendulum has swung entirely too far.....our only hope is that it swings back before it falls off.

You are hilarious! I love that everyone is convinced that Shockerlady is PB. Again,Patty didn't handle things appropriately but neither did GM. The University had no other choice. GM is Bully and this generation won't tolerate it. Anyone who thinks it's okay to strike players and choke assistant coaches is a loser in my eyes. Being tough is one thing but no one has the right to do so. He is lucky he wasn't arrested.

It is just amazing how utterly clueless some people are about the intensity it takes to coach and play at this level. What GM did do Shaq, and I know exactly what he did, may have been wrong but it was completely understandable, and a strong case can be made necessary to take Shaq to a place that he was incapable of achieving on his own. He should send GM a thank you card. The fact that "this generation" is appalled by this is just pathetic.
