This will never happen. But good luck getting tickets. In fact, with the number of regional teams with potential protected seeds (CU, WSU, KU, KSU, Mizzou, and Big10 teams), one might make a pretty penny buying up tickets now. KC will be the best regional environment of the tournament.

By far. If KC had a 40k arena it would be rockin.

They could play in Arrowhead! It hasn't seen 40k in quite some time :)

Very good point. Maybe they can build that roof that they wanted and host such events. I bet 80K rabid basketball fans could make quite a ruckus!

During Lunardi's chat yesterday, he said that he expected WSU to move up in seeds, but that the ceiling was a #4.

                      A 4 isn't bad at all.

ESPN's Joe Lundari is out with his latest Bracket (01/15/13). We dropped in his projections and are no longer headed to Kansas City.

But look who we got in our region. Both North Carolina and Kentucky. As a side note, did anyone else notice that in yesterday's AP rankings that neither North Carolina and Kentucky were in the poll? In fact, neither of the two even received a single vote, I wonder how long it has been since that has happened?

Well look at that. Still a 6 seed, even after that damaging loss to Evansville.

                          Guess it's not doomsday afterall.

The was Lunardi's response to a chat question today:

                            Lew (PHX)

                            What's your best game this weekend? Syr/Lville, Gonz/Butler, Creighton/Wich st or ASU/UA?

                            Joe Lunardi (2:33 PM)

Would be the ones at Butler and Wichita State, because of the great "college gym" atmosphere.

Lunardi now has WSU as the last #5 seed; he has us as #20 on his S curve. Top 5 seeds are "protected" which I think simply that protected seeds won't play opponents close to their geographic territory (Oregon and VCU for example)

He knows how good WSU is.

Plus I believe a protected also gets closer to home, right? Or is that for the top 4 seeds?
