Kawadjahos was too much of a ball hog, especially his senior year. He hurt his team more than he helped it IMO. I think all of his preseason accolades went to his head.

And yes, he was a whiny b*tch at times.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

I have to think that once the Shockers gel and get all of their individual team roles finalised, they will be an NCAA threat.

A.) More veteran than people realise
B.) Solid incoming class- and that might be an understatement- but we'll see
C.) Maybe foremost, Marshall coaches a winning style- good, efficient defense (boards) and good, efficient offense, both

The Valley should get three teams in this year.

I know most everyone here loves Mike Kennedy and would consider him a "homer" but most of us believe him when he speaks. Here is a quote from the voice of the Shockers "We're going to be better than we were last year."

Interesting indeed. I think this year's team could actually be more talented than last year's, and that they have the potential to be better if only because of the disappointing end to an otherwise great year last season. But if they end up actually being better -- and I'll be mildly surprised if they are, although no more than that -- I expect it to take until well into the season to happen.

Of course, if they really are going to be better, that's certainly when we want it to occur.

ESPN's Joe Lundari is out with his latest Bracket (01/08/13), but you will have to read to see what our seed is and where we are playing.

Just a hint: it's nice and nice.

Interesting. Just noticed where he has KSU. Anyone know if this how he thinks it will be at seasons end, or the current state of affairs?

Help this old guy out, please. What is the significance of some team names in all Caps and others not? I thought it might be conference winners or automatic bids, but Baylor over Kansas?

This is the explanation page for Joe Lunardi's "Bracketology" series. If you don't understand certain basic components of how it works, come here for guidance.

Why is that team listed from such-and-such conference? Teams listed in ALL CAPS followed are the current league or RPI leaders (for the preseason bracket, the consensus postseason champion is listed). Teams from multiple-bid conferences that project to earn an at-large bid regardless of their league position are listed without CAPS.

Playing the ChicKUns in the NCAA Tournament in front of all their fans in Kansas City? That would be their biggest nightmare. Please let it happen.

This would be a good scenario minus Duke. That is a good bracket to be in.

In that instance we would not be playing against each other in KC. He has us in different brackets... The KU fans would likely be cheering us on against Mizzou.
