Two things tonight that needs work...Offensive rebounding and passing trying to make the spectacular play rather than the good safe play. The rebounding jus didn't feel like it was as horrible as the stats show. but the shots WK took off the o bounds did not fall so points off offensive rebounds were minimal. Passing need to be at least catchable and not cross court, WK was athletic enough to react and intercept many of these ill advised passes. Taking Friday off and I would assume going over film and the scout for FU. After tonights game really looking forward to heading to Myrtle Beach on Weds. Go Shocks Ya all.

I just now got my first look at anything other than the score. I looked at the box score. Yikes! Looking at the stats - that was one butt ugly game. WKU got 11 steals? WKU got 22 offensive rebounds and put up 81 shots?
I have a feeling that there will be some conditioning drills run.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Some fun stats from the frontcourt:
Kenny Pohto is averaging 12.5 points and 11 rebounds through two games.
Dalen Ridgnal is averaging 10 rebounds through two games.
Quincy Ballard is averaging 10 rebounds and 3 blocks through two games. He also played 30 minutes tonight and didn't look gassed at the end - impressive conditioning for a guy his size.

I think I recall some posts - maybe just one - that said we needed to improve our 3-point defense.
0/21 isn't just a factor of D from beyond the arc, but defense beyond the arc is a factor in thst stat. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

3 minutes into the game I was wondering if Ballard could even catch the ball. Passed regimes might have put him on the bench and left him there for about 2 weeks. Glad HCPM didn't do that last night.
I could be wrong (it happens) but it appeared there was a play or two ran for Abidde. And better yet, he converted...

That was a physical game, to say the least, and I love physical games! This is the type of early game we need.
Ballard is an imposing beast. I don't know if that will translate on the offensive end, but if it does ... eesh.
The Swede needs to leap up and smash his head against the backboard while blasting a primal yell. Show the enemy he's a mean bastard and not just a pretty face. I'd like to see him find his inner warrior. If he ever does, he'll be a force on the national level, not just the conference level.
Bell is improving as a ball handler. A couple years ago I would cringe every time he got the ball. Not anymore. He doesn't have a "facilitate first" mindset, yet, but at least he isn't coughing it up like a cat licking a fuzzy pillow anymore. I love upperclassmen.
Beverly had a +/- of +1.5. Just think what will happen to his +/- when he cuts out the bad passes. He's got some skeelz, now he needs to show us he has the brains (or restraint) to go with it.
Loved the final play at the end of the first half. Well done Coach Mills!
Ridgnal is a stud and nearly had the double-double.
Abbide played fantastic the first half -- not too bad the second half either. He's got that "spark" vibe about him.
Is Germany injured?Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

Just stay healthy fellas, please. Would love to see at least 1 more in the rotation somehow-perhaps at the semester break.
In recent years, we would have kept trying to run the same offense, which probably would have ended up as an L against WKU. Great decision to just play ball, and do what it takes offensively to win a game in the 2nd half.
Not to get too optimistic, but this is fun again.
