Ignoring the obvious holes in comparing the two resumes, of which there are several, you’re completely missing the context of which both were hired.

The context of it is what makes this particularly bad and is the biggest thing that makes it different.

But if we’re pretending that 2 of 3 NCAA tournaments a conference tournament title and regular seasons title and a Sweet 16 is the same as 1 tournament in 9 years with zero wins then sure they’re carbon copies.

Why quote last 3 for one then career for the other ? Oh yea... Cherry picking.

Years 4-6 are infinitely more important to look at than years 1-3.

Aside from 2 tournaments in 6 years is a lot better than 1 in 9. And 2 wins are a lot better than 0.

Oh and the last 3 year record against the coach that we all agreed we needed to replace ? 0-1

Oh and that last "great" 2023 year ? Their best two wins ? #44 Liberty and .... #142 Missouri State ...

The sweet 16 is nice. But it's really the only thing on the resume that jumps out. They even finished 4th that year in the summit..

You’re whole diatribe is that Mill’s ORU teams aren’t good? They were a 12 seed out of the Summit conference. That in itself is kind of remarkable. And made the Sweet 16 two years prior.

Probably one of the best runs any school has ever gone on out of the league.

So I think you should sit out hating on Mills and comparing the two hires.

The facts are the facts. Yes they got a 12 seed based on their NET from beating up on not just bad but horrible teams. They also would have missed the tournament without an auto bid.

They played FOUR non-D1 schools last year ... FOUR. (Which to be clear, didn't help their net because they don't count)

19 Q4 games. So 23 of their 30 wins were against Q4 or non D1 teams. 7 total wins against top 3 quadrants (0 Q1, 1 Q2, 6 Q3)

They lost to Houston by 38. They lost to Duke by 23 in the NCAA Tournament... They only beat 1 team that was a better NET than the top 6 teams in the AAC this year.

Yes, the sweet 16 is nice... But that year was a 4th place finish and 15-11 year overall. That was also the "COVID year" that everyone downplays on here.

This is the type of resume that people think says someone can be successful at WSU in the AAC?

Gonna throw one more piece of data out .. then I'll leave it be. Since last 3 years has been thrown out as a good example for Mills.

Last 3 years regular season Quad record

Q1: 0-13
Q2: 1-2
Q3: 13-5
Q4: 41-6

Yup .. so this 3 year run that is worthy of WSU basketball had ... 1 Q2 win and 0 Q1 wins in the regular season.
