What I forgot is that Cessna at 13,500 isn't big enough. The pics from the state track meet showed almost that many people just in the west side
bleachers.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades. We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
Let me offer this thought regarding HCBG's lack of success at Washington State.
I remember Shannon Lamb (who also coached at Washington State) said that the Pac-12 (10 when she was there) was tricky because you could get better nationally and still not get better within that conference. From a baseball perspective, PAC-12 is a bear (will soon be past tense with that comment). The Los Angeles squads should always be strong, as are the Arizona schools simply because of location. Stanford has great history. Oregon State has come on in the last couple decades. Oregon has Nike money, so they should be good at everything. Washington seems to be in a good spot in Seattle. That all is to say nothing of the fact that Pullman is way, Way, WAY out in the boonies. It has to be incredibly difficult to recruit there, compared to your conference foes. So I won't crucify HCBG for not dominating at Washington State.
HCBG might win big here in the 316. He might fail miserably. It might fall somewhere in the middle. We'll see what happens.

Yeah, if anything, it's a wash (no pun intended). Pullman is not even close to Spokane when we're comparing locales in terms of Gonzaga basketball. I get that places like Wichita aren't crazy great locales, but there's a baseball culture here that is pretty good. Pullman is like a D1 school located in Hutchinson if you look at its population. It's rural and truly in the middle of nowhere, and doesn't have the scenery that some of the Pacific NW has. Recruiting there for any sport has to be difficult. Compared to Wichita, it's certainly much harder. Las Cruces is the same.
I'm willing to give Green a chance. He's very passionate and did good things at New Mexico State.
A legendary commentator got his start at Washington State. I'm sure some of our more seasoned members would know that without having to look him up.

Why are you guys not willing to give the new coaches a chance to be good? None of us know what the basketball team is going to look like in the fall. There is no metric for team chemistry or how a player will perform with better coaching until they are playing. Some of you are writing the coaches off for not being splashy or not being approved by you. Who are you? A fat biddy ball ref and professional butt picker? Quit your bitching and wait for the product like the rest of us. The greatest coach in WSU history had an abysmal first year. Let them work, and let’s see how the players respond.

#6’s dad runs a motion offense that is unparalleled.
Dang .. Fever still obsessed with me? Kinda crazy.
Though he is right about the biddy thing though .. he's just upset because I had to tell him last week that just because his brain operates at a 2nd grade level doesn't mean he's allowed to play biddy ball with the 2nd graders.

Complains about obsessing about him.
Then goes on to type a paragraph about me.
Oh, and he has me on “ignore”.
I bet a second grader couldn’t figure out this mindbender.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.
