I'm not going to get into an argument on whether or not things are fair to WSU/fans on MVCFans, but here is my take:
The creator, mods and most of the posters at MVCFans don't want a ValleyTalk 2. From a moderation standpoint, that was the priority-one from the get-go. The reputations of those who made VT what it was were not cleared. So they had a shorter leash to start. Agree or not, that the way it was decided things would be done, to accomplish priority-one. The "anti-WSU" bias has everything to do with perceptions from VT. While most MVC schools had fans there who trolled from time-to-time, there were decidedly more WSU fans. Again, that reputation didn't just go away, among the mods or participants.
Being a mod there I can tell you that over the past year or so, the behavior of posters from other fanbases are getting as much or more moderator attention than WSU fans. The thing to remember is that the mods can't see every single post. Nor can they follow, in detail, every quibble that goes on between one or more posters. Even though objectivity is the goal, subjectivity is going to factor in. And given the long history of MVC fanboards, the perception of who started what is going to be different from person to person. It's very difficult to try and balance all that "family" history and manage things going forward. We try the best we can. There is no "anti-WSU" bias among the moderators and most, if not all, moderator action is discussed beforehand or reviewed afterward. Sometimes people just aren't going to agree or see things the same way.
The bottom line is, if you want to discuss MVC sports on a moderated board, without things devolving too far - a line which will always be blurred - then go to MVCFans. If not, then go somewhere else.
