It is a tremendous forum if you can follow the rules. I have never gotten the sense that there was an anti-Shocker sentiment. My only thought is simly that hurtful, personal attacks don't belong on a message board talking about something as insignificant as sports. I am a big boy and can handle it but there have been times when stuff was said about my posts by Panther and Shocker fans that made me just shake in anger. No place for that in my opinion.
Typed words on a sports message board really make you shake in anger? I'd hate to see you spontaneously combust if you got inan actual argument in real life over something that was actually important.

Casey, let's be fair. The asinine things that come off your keyboard clearly open the door for you to get reamed over there. You ask for it and you get it. If you are really having night sweats over what's typed on an internet message board, maybe you should take a break from the hell that is the internet for a while. That's not healthy for you to be taking things that seriously. Also in retrospect, maybe you should think before you type in order to save yourself the embarrassment of getting it handed back to you in your face.
Anti-WSU sentiment is rampant over there. Every other fan base is allowed to make snark responding comments. If you're a WSU fan, you're held to higher standards and aren't allowed to make bold statements in the first place. If you are labeled an "instigator", it's pretty much your death sentence there. Everybody else is an angel, while your opinion is cut short because you are held to a higher standard. I'm glad I finally stopped posting there. I was sick and tired of having to edit my own posts to make everything PR-friendly and making sure I didn't make a statement that would make a poster cry and tattle to the moderation police. But as I was doing that to just to get my posts viewable, I would see others post whatever they wanted, fire whenever they wanted, and did so without an eyelash being batted. It was then I realized the place was pond scum and biased. That makes it worse than anything ValleyTalk ever was and that's why I'll never post there again as long as the same two-faced moderation powers are in charge.
And your opinion, as a Bare fan, is not worth much here. Just the facts.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Fever you make some good points. I am a very emotional poster. I have a tendency to let my anger and emotions get the best of me and write things that I later regret. I will always make amends when I have crossed the line and admit my shortcomings. I am in the process of deciding whether message board posting is something I want to keep doing. It takes time and can be frustrating and is keeping me from spending quality time with my family. In short I think you are right about certain things. I apologize if I have bothered Shock fans by saying hurtful things on the other board.
What stinks is that MVCfans has become such a cool place to me and I have noticed the dwindling number of Shocker fans. I wish more of you fellas would post over there and maybe give it a second chance.
This guy is CaseyGarrisonForPrez? The guy who took his posting name from a volleyball player? The guy who led the "MSU to CUSA" hype? I think Casey could be pwned by MoValleyJohn posting a picture of a midget, which is not allowed on MVCFans.
The title of this thread is wrong. MVCFans has no balls.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades. We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
I would be willing to "contribute" from time to time if I can be assured that moderation would be limited to controlling hackers or spammers. The best forums are barely moderated. The second someone "lays down the law" in an internet forum, things are never the same.

There really is no decision here. Posting on a message board or quality time with family......posting on a message board like MVCfans or quality time with family.......but let me help you anyway - choose quality time with your family.
ALTERNATIVE - Or you could get an IPHONE and post on a message board while spending quality time with your family

Actually, I think most of us have gave it a 2nd, 3rd and 4th chances.

I gave it a chance. I assumed the reputation was overstated.
I was wrong. Everything in any way related to WSU there is an attack.
I've participated in plenty of ACC forums as an FSU fan, and I've never seen that level of deep rooted bias against one school from a conference forum before.

I hear people talk about it a lot here, so I decided to sign up an post over there. Well... it only took TWO STINKING MONTHS for my account to get verified. And as I read as a mute poster with no account to post with for those 2 months, I found myself shaking my head in disappointment too many times.
Thus I have only posted 2 or 3 times with that account. Occasionally I'll stop by there again, but turn around almost as soon as I entered.
How many posters who have an issue with mvcfans have been banned or suspended from mv fans?
Of those same people, how many have been banned/suspended from shockernet?
I've never been banned, warned, or suspended at MVCfans. But I don't post much over there either. My disparaging comment towards MVCfans was specifically because there is no activity, not because I feel mistreated. Of course there is no activity because of the moderation philosophy that is in place. As far as Shockernet is concerned, I have probably been banned a half dozen times over the last decade.

I've never been banned or suspended from either. The moderation over there is heavy handed towards Shocker fans but they let everything go against Wichita State and Shocker fans. It doesn't surprise me that the activity over there is limited as I assume nothing has really changed in the moderation philosophy since I voluntarilly left seven or so months ago. I wasn't the first to give up on that site and pretty sure I wasn't the last. I've even seen comments in the past from some good Illinois State posters about how they don't like the place either.

Maybe a better question would be why those people got banned or suspended, not just a simple close-ended question. I am not banned from MVCfans. I have just chosen not to go over there or post anymore. I don't know what correlation you're trying to make, but it appears you're grasping for straws. If you visited the Valley boards over the last 10 years, you'd maybe have a clue to what's going on.
What's funny is that Cold (no offense), a person who is notorious for making people cry and getting butthurt and is labeled as "trollish" iis posting over there freely without interruption, while you have some here that have just come over to discuss things in a more lenient tone and they are subjected to post scrutiny and approval. Now tell me there is no bias or that things aren't screwy. You have non-WSU fans that tattle and wahhh to the moderators about everything and they graciously comply, but if a WSU fan complained, it goes unnoticed.

Perhaps it's because I'm a celebrity. My very presence on that board legitimizes it. :friendly_wink:
