IB lost me in his first COY season when we lost to Drake. Never should have happened. Then he showed no spine by allowing TE so much rope and losing so many good players in the portal. Topped that off by losing in the first game to a weak Tulsa team in the tournament last year. I'll give him some credit for noticeable improvement over the course of this season but, for me, the team had to beat Tulane and play Memphis close. That would have had even me on the fence. I wish they could construct his contract in a way he could earn his $$$ as an ass't going forward but that is highly unlikely. Whether he stays or not won't determine my loyalty to the program. With the advent of the portal and NIL I'm afraid we will never compete with the big names again, nevertheless, I'll be watching

Man. Feel for him. Probably the right choice if we have the money. But still, not really a happy day imo.

He will be fine after the shock of getting fired wears off. He walks away with plenty of cash and lots of experience on how to run a program.
Will not be surprised to see him end up down south somewhere. A Southland conference or SunBelt league type of program.
Good guy, but wrong one for this program and a place that expects to be dancing each and every year.

That not going to happen. Every player will get a waiver for free transfer with the coaching change.

I have heard that Colby Rogers has already indicated he would transfer if IB is not retained.

IB was put in a bad position from the start. He seems like a great individual. That being said, it had to be done. Good luck to coach Brown and his staff.
