    I think it’s a coin flip.

That’s my feeling, not necessarily my wish.

I don't think Saal has a choice without doing more harm to the future of the program.

The poll question does not ask what our wish would be. I believe that poll result would be very different. It seems to me most folks are resigned to the idea we can't afford to make a change. The chart on attendance trends shows that we can't afford to not make a change. We shall see soon enough.

As of now (3/7), looks like almost 2/3rds think there will NOT be a change. I think a lot of the responses are basing this on how they think the money situation will play into this (as am I).

They'll lose more money keeping him than they will to pay him to leave. Revenue has already plummeted under his watch.

I think that's what makes this all the more interesting. If that's what the university/athletic department also calculates, I think there will be a change. We should know sooner than later.

For me it’s the losses at home that straight up kill home attendance. It’s so bad. I need a new coach for my own sanity, and I’m not even in wichita anymore.

side edit: we should be making the tourney every year. Not hoping for NIT. And we’re not even there now lol

NIT should be the bare minimum and be few and far between.

There's no reason we shouldn't be in contention for an at-large selection most years.

I don't see those as unreasonable expectations.

Another question is, does their performance in the conference tournament have any impact on the decision. I'd say a loss to Tulsa would almost guarantee he's out. But does two wins move the needle in his direction? three?

                      No.

As Doc said in another thread, if IB gets lucky and we win 11 straight and win a national championship, you thank him and wish him well and then do a coaching search.

Not his exact words, but close enough.

This may be the most asinine comment I've ever read on this board. I know we're dealing in a hypothetical that is never going to happen, but you really think the school would want to fire a coach that just won a national championship? Lol of course he also had to insert that word "lucky" in there because if it actually did happen it wouldn't be because of Browns coaching, just dumb luck I guess

It's just a way of saying that his run is at an end and no amount of wins at this point is going to save his job. We're obviously not winning a Natty. We won't win the AAC. We most likely won't play on Sunday and may be lucky to get to Saturday.

His tenure needs to end. Thank him for his efforts and wish him well. Someone at a lower level than the AAC will give him a shot and he can continue to learn and grow there. I wish him well. He's not the man to lead the Shockers.
