I would imagine a lot of people are like me, I route like hell for the team every game. But when it's over and they lose, it does make me feel better knowing that that gets us one step closer to a new coach.

Porter deserves our absolute best as fans. So does Pohto and Walton. They're working their asses off to get better. The team might not win, but there's some guys on this team giving it all they have, and I'm cheering for them to the bitter end as I always have. I'm going to miss CPjr big time.Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

My winning bet from yesterday:
Shock ML
Walton 10+ pts
CPJ 10+ pts
CPJ over 12.5 pts
WSU to win and walton to score 15+
Over 139.5
nice 6x payoutDeuces Valley.

Lost in all the Shockernet hoopla was a nod to Pohto's outstanding game (it was mentioned somewhat). When is the last time a Shocker shot 87% from the field at 10+ shots? Mo? That move at approx. 3:45 (or close to it) of the second OT had me beside myself. Forget Adibbe's 360, that was a 720! Man, I'd hate to lose him.
He is seeing the w-h-o-l-e court right now. Zen Vision, just like Ty Webb on the 9th...Last edited by ShockingButTrue; February 13, 2023, 10:31 PM.

I went to game and stayed to the end as I always do. When I got home, I started the dvr and watched the Super Bowl from the beginning. The only thing I missed were the commercials as I buzzed through them. No issues at all. Go Chiefs! Heck of a game.
I support the team because I want to. If you don’t like that, and you just want to complain, your loss. Not mine. Like Kevin Saul listens to a bunch of fair weathered fans that don’t contribute to SASO or the Athletic Dept. But you can punch a mean keyboard. All the cool kids think bashing the BB program makes you fit in with the crowd.
I don’t like the current product either. Changes are needed. But I still support it. My choice. Don’t criticize people like me that choose to do this.
End of rant.

If Saal doesn't care about people who aren't paying into SASO or the Athletic Department, he's going to have even fewer people to care about next year if he keeps IB around. The problem from that side is there are fewer people contributing this year than last. He certainly should care about those that are no longer investing in the program. If he doesn't, then he won't have a job for long and the program will just continue to get worse.
Also, I don't think anyone has criticized the people who choose to keep spending money. So I'm not sure where you're getting all bent out of shape there.
The problem is fewer people are showing up and investing. Us "fair weather fans" as you call us simply see us spending more money on a failing product as a waste of our time and resources. You seem awfully judgemental towards those of us that choose to not invest in something we see as bad. Many want to invest again and are waiting to do so when there are signs that a change of direction is taking place and there's reason to hope again.
I'm not sorry that I utilize my resources to the best of my ability and that my entertainment dollars are going to be spent on something I can fully enjoy. Right now, that's not Shocker basketball. I've attended a lot of games the past 20 years. Was a season ticket holder for a few until I couldn't really afford to give that time and money, though I still attended a lot of games. I've traveled to STL a number of times, some of those for Thursday basketball.
I don't like the product. Changes are needed. I won't throw my hard earned money at a failing product. My choice. Don't criticize people like me that choose to do this.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

1. People that will donate through thick and thin, go to games no matter. Their complaints matter.
2. People that will go to games and donate when the team is going the direction they like. Their complaints really matter
3. People that will never go to games and never donate but are very quick to demand changes for every little thing. Their complaints don't matter.
1 and 2 are important ... 3 not so much .. we have a handful of all 3 buckets on this forum.

I have posted several times on this board I'm giving HCIB 3 years. Is his 3 years up? No.
Do I want WSU to win 4 of their last 5? Yes. Make it to the Championship of the postseason AAC tournament? Yes. Maybe get an NIT bid, and make it to Madison Sq. Garden? Yes. Keep Pohto and Walton? Hell yes! Bring in a top 100 point guard to give the ball to at the end of tight games (since most are)? Who wouldn't (I won't name no names)? So, today, I support the team and the Head Coach. An honest evaluation will be presented the second weekend of March, realistically Friday or Saturday (most probably before the NIT field is even announced), but man, all those empty seats last Sunday...
