Craig Porter is a good player, but his free-throw percentage is atrocious the last few minutes of a game.

I've been thinking about this some....I DON'T think he is great at the end of games compared to the first 30 some minutes and it seems to show up in the throws....

And 'LOVINGLY' is the overstatement of all time.....but he does not appear to be QUITE the jerk he used to be...but he IS close to 30, so he should be growing up...:)

Huggins seems to have walked that back. There was an article with Huggins talking about having a team full of transfers, and he defends ES quite a bit.

I don't like defending TP but we probably would have about six more W's if we had him at SG this year and be dancing in March. The arena would be nearly full and the majority of the fan base happy campers. Of course, we will never know

Every team across 4 schools that TP is on tends to massively underachieve.... There must be a common data point there... Can't quite put my fur lined coat on it

Don't think you could argue that with WVU this season as he is one of the biggest reasons they will be dancing in March

We had Tyson Etienne last year who had exactly the same average total points per game last year that TP is having this year: 14.9/game. Tyson went off for 20+ in 7 games. TP has done it 4 times this year.

Even having a guard that could go off 7 out of 27 games wasn't enough to overcome what is holding our school back.

For predictive metrics, they're:

14 at KenPom
18 at Torvik

For resume metrics, they're:

38 in SOR per ESPN
42 in WAB per Torvik

Hardly unreasonable to have them Top 25. Seeding should have them toward the 10-11 line at this point (that is, if the committee weren't using some arbitrary amalgamation of different metrics). Big difference when you play a murderer's row of a schedule, which is currently ranked 6th in the country per KenPom.
