  • You have to give a ton of credit for them battling and being in a position to potentially win the game without Porter. It was a much closer game than I expected.

The other side of the coin is the fact that close losses to UCF being considered moral victories speaks to the sad, sad state of the program currently.

Is the first paragraph an IB quote?

      • Most insane thing to me from last night is this.

At the 7:17 mark in the 2nd half ... UCF makes a Jumper to make it a 45-40 game ... That was the last FG that UCF made in the game. So starting with a 5 point deficient we hold them without a FG for the last 7 minutes of the game ... and lose by 7.

It would be impressive if it wasn't so sad ...

        • I remember IB saying a couple years ago that we would be running the same offense as we did under GM. Was never a big fan of GM's offense...but he got the results with higher player accountability. I still remember GM saying we run a "dinasour" offense. Time for an upgraded offensive philosophy.

I have no idea if its the same offense, but this dribble weave doesn't do anything. we just constantly end up with the ball back near mid court with under 10 seconds to go

Now we have a shot clock and scores are still 52-45. The games aren't as boring as back in the old days. Boring has been replaced by UGLY!

I've seen CKA go absolutely nuts when the Shox scored 100. I've never seen the same when they held an opponent under 50.
C'mon man! Ross and I used to 'tickle the twine' in Henrion Hall... we often played before standing room only (SRO) crowds, with babes (called Flappers) lining the court. Nothing was boring when ole Ross had the pumpkin' in his mitts... he was like watching a magic show and defined 'juke and jive' and should/could have been the first "whitie" to play for the 'trotters' in '27.

              • I understand we were missing our best player, but still that was depressing.

I guess the silver lining is that if we have mass transfers at the end the year it won't bother me all that much.

Hopefully, Jaykwon Walton and Colby Rogers will be back. Would not even mind seeing Melvion Flanagan back as scholarship player. Other that that the rest that still have eligibility are more than welcome to matriculate elsehwere.

Although until their is a coaching change it won't make much difference one way or the other.

                  • Atomic bombs killed us. Terrible floor recognition and lazy passes. New starting line up should be KP, Rojas, Okafor, Walton at SG and CP. Shorten the bench to, gulp, JP, MF, QB and maybe Ricks.

                    • I would like to see if Ricks can play at this level.

I have a hard time believing that he could play for Steve Smith at Oak Hill Academy, but can't get off the bench for this team.

Agreed. IB appears to play favorites. No other way to explain Bell playing at all and guys like Ricks not being able to sniff the floor.

                        • This is dreadful. Defense is good but doesn't matter if you can't consistently score and only shoot 35% with just 14 FG made. 15 turnovers. Outrebounded. Pathetic and there is no other way to describe it.

                            Just puttin' it out there.
Only reason UCF scored so few points was because the pace of the game was one of the SLOWEST of the year. UCF offensive efficiency was the 5th best of the season against WSU.

You will, when he transfers out.

Bell must be lighting up like MJ during practices and “battling” out there.
