  • Jarron Pierre had 20 points on 17 shots. Pierre has been playing better, but he still needs to cut out 3-4 bad shots a game. By contrast, Jaykwon Walton had 18 points on 8 shots
    • Craig Porter Jr. and Jaykwon Walton continue to be studs.
    • Melvion Flanagan provided a nice spark off the bench.
    • Okafor, Bell, and Pohto looked out of sorts (wtf was Pohto doing on that one rebound where he let the ball hit the ground and then go off of him out of bounds).
    • I'm not sure Shammah Scott played after the turnover on the inbounds pass.
    • Quincy Ballard is a true rim protector. Has made a few hustle plays lately too (love to see it).

Thanks. I just wondered why he didn’t play. Okhafor wasn’t very good. Rojas might not have been either.

      • Longwood tried to bring Christmas with them early with their 8 point lead, but in came Flanagan with his speed and feeds, Flanagan? FLANAGAN!!! He's not even on the scouting report!!! And last game JP was not on the court for support. We knew about Porter, and we knew about Walton, but who is Flanagan stealing all of our early Christmas cheer and fun?

He stuffed the stats stocking with 4- 3 pointers, 2 rb, 2 assists and 14 points and a steal, is this for real? Flanagan O where was Flanagan on the the scouting report, what is the deal? Nobody steals a Shocker Christmas that is how Mr. Flanagan feels, early Merry Christmas to all Shocker fans and to all a goodnight!!!
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Will see but I am not a buyer yet. Once again, JP is our SG. XB is aiming his shots. My starting line up would be QB at center, KP at PF, Walton, JP and CP and play 3-2 zone. As much as Rojas has disappointed me taking care of the ball he is our one and ONLY back to the basket guy with KP having some potential. He has to post up deeper and go up strong. The ability is there the toughness / confidence isn't. Also, our offensive philosophy just isn't geared or focused on getting the ball down low to our centers. Love Walton's overall game ! Our half court offense the first ten minutes was putrid. Again, don't let this game fool you
Oh…uh, thanks. I’m pretty sure no one on here had vaulted us into even their own personal top 25, as “excitable” as we are about this team.

          • Ballard is a decent rim protector but he is an absolute non factor on offense. No one even looked his way to pass him the ball all game until Walton had a brain lapse and tried a long pass which was stolen.
Pohto has potential but doesn't assert himself at all. There is no post up game from any of the bigs.
Shocker fan for life after witnessing my first game in person, the 80-74 win over the #12 Creighton Bluejays at the Kansas Coliseum.

            • Really glad we won. I felt bad for our other two walk-ons that IB didn’t play in the last minute or two. One of our assistants has to tell IB to get them in the game. In my opinion FHCGM usually got the walk-ons in when we had an 18 point lead with a minute or two left in a game. Not a good look in my opinion. Again really glad we won!

We only had 10 scholarship players available and played 12 people at least 7 minutes each. Getting the deep bench contributers minutes is way more important than the non game contributor walk ons. Not at all concerned that they didn't get in the game.

                • Longwood looked rigid, then softened up and petered out.

AM had tremendous potential that was not fulfilled until he transferred to a school that knew how to use him. Same scenario with KP developing. Coaches don't seem to know how to get him or the other centers engaged offensively. Not the fault of any of our three centers.

Probably a little deeper after taking in Longwood.

lol’s up and down the street after wins over mighty Longwood. If we would’ve L’ed, you would’ve been predictably crickets from here to the Colorado border. What a nub.
