Actually, BOBB, I know what it means AND how to spell it ("dispel;" look it up next time). Unfortunately, my natural skepticism about "inside" info and Internet rumors caused me to be overconfident and choose my words poorly.

On the other hand, the rumors have indeed been dispelled in the sense that they're no longer rumors; they just turned out the opposite of the way I expected. Oh, well -- I've been wrong before and no doubt will be again. I don't like it and try to avoid it, but my imperfection catches up with me now and then. Such is life.

Obviously, you don't. Unless you think dispel (thanks for the tip) means confirmed 100%. Corroborate, authenticate and endorse might be the synonyms you seek.

The old spelling attack. A true sign of poster desperation. I've been there myself.

Be careful. He may put you on his dreaded ignore list that he likes to parade on and on about from time to time.

        ... No really, deuces.

Such is life or in laymens terms, and at times like these we could proclaim astalapastalavista-baybay? Carl Hall is a catalyst for our success next Season. Not only does he defend and referred to as a "Beast", he also is a team player. You can start him or bring him off the bench and he jumps at the chance without an ego or complaining. We can 'wish our lucky stars' that Carl is cleared to play one more Season with us. If so, look for him to play a prominent Shocker role and receive some All Valley recognition. It reminds me of the old flick called "Billy Jack." "I am going to put this foot on the side of your face, and there is Nothing you can do about it." Even my 'lil pea brain' understands this "no-brainer" and so does the rest of the Valley teams.

Does anyone know when we will know if he gets the waiver or not? I have no idea what a process like that is like or how long it takes.

No, I don't believe anyone knows for sure.

WSU submitted the paperwork earlier this week and associate athletic director Korey Torgerson said there is no timetable for a response from the NCAA.

Without going through each post on this thread, this might be a repeat...if so, forgive me. Is CH's situation so unique that the recruiting process didn't uncover a need to be proactive about this issue? Is it me or is our administration a bit on their heels when it comes to the background knowledge of our student-athletes? HCGM might have recruited a little differently if Hall's potential eligibility challenge was known well in advance.

Do we even know if the NCAA allows for a 6th year appeal to be made in advance or do they only hear those appeals once the 6th year is upcoming?

iirc medical redshirts can only be requested after a player is out of eligibility.
