Let's play 60 minute games next year.

Looks like Marshall will be able to tell the guys to go full out every minute they're on the court.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

10 man rotation that isn't as top heavy...

      PG - Williams 10, Armstead 15, Cotton 5, VanVleet 10
      SG - Wiggins 15, Williams 13, Cotton 8, Baker 4
      SF - Early 17, Wiggins 10, Baker 13
      PF - Hall 10, White 22, Early 10
      C - Ehimen 22, Hall 18

      Hall 28
      Early 27
      Wiggins 25
      Williams 23
      White 22
      Ehimen 22
      Baker 17
      Armstead 15
      Cotton 13
      VanVleet 10

For this to happen though, the 2nd 5 have to be just as good as the first 5, more or less. That's the way it was a couple of years ago. Not quite as much last year. I'm not sure our 10 are quite like that. I like this 10, but I'm not sure the bottom 2 or 3 are worth taking a few minutes away from Williams/Early/Hall/Wiggins. It's tought to predict right now. Who knows what happens. And maybe I'm giving Baker too many minutes. Cotton could pick up a few there.

        C - Hall 22, EO 18
        PF - Hall 6, White 20, Early 14
        SF - Early 14, Wiggins 19, Baker 4, Wessel 3
        SG - Wiggins 5, Baker 10 Williams 15, Cotton 10
        PG - Williams 12, Cotton 3, Armstead 18, FVV 7

Green will probably red shirt; if Hawkins makes it, he probably should red shirt, but if not, he'll pick up 5 or so minutes at PF. That will have a trickle down effect as White will lose 2/3 and Early 2/3, but Early will pick them back up at SF taking a little from the other 3s. I think Wessel is a real talent, but the minutes just doen't appear there and a RS would do him a lot of good. Of course, if Henry shows up, he's a RS. If Mitchell stays on, he'll do so as a walk-on.

        Hall 28
        Early 28
        Williams 27
        Wiggins 24
        White 20
        Armstead 18
        EO 18
        Baker 14
        Cotton 13
        FVV 7
        Wessel 3

This will all make for very spirited practices with one's defense being a tie-breaker for minutes. :wsu_posters::wsu_posters::wsu_posters:

I think these labels of PF and SF are somewhat artificial and not all that meaningful. To me a players abilities define how he is classified. Preferebly I would love to have a 3 and a 4 that can both do damage insided and out and are capable rebounders and are essentially interchangeable.

If you have no true PF's then maybe you play more of a 1 in - 4 out alignment. 3G will no doubt find out what his guys are capable of and adjust his attack accordingly.

I guess I don't know the full details of the reason he was dismissed. But he was a highly talented young man that made us look silly this year.

Nope, and not likely. I'm guessing the odds are high that someone doesn't show and/or someone doesn't want to RS.

Also, until HCGM makes it public, we have no idea how the scholarships will be working. So, it's possible a regular isn't on scholarship and/or a RS isn't on scholarship.

Just a lot of variables right now.

Your PF position has 2 extra minutes.

I thought I fixed that. I kept bouncing around with the numbers.

If EO plays 23 minutes it means we have major issues at the 5 and will put supreme pressure on the 3 guard positions. If he does play significant minutes there we need Early to play more than expected at the 4.

Earlier this year, Coach Heier said that the Bama coaching staff compared Mitchell with Cleanthony Early. They wanted to sign Early badly. We don't need Mitchell's attitude.
