I'd be curious if another team in the country has lost talent that would be as good as:

PG Grant Sherfield 18/3/4/1
SG Ricky Council IV 19/3/3/2/1
OG Jamarius Burton 14/5/5/1
F Dexter Dennis 7/4/1/1/1 (somebody gotta play D)
C Mo Udeze 18/7

Got some size issues but .....that's a lot to lose over 4 seasons (not all either, just the best)


All are either the best player or leading scorer (maybe 2nd best player) except for Dex who is the best defender and one of the better ones in the country.

All are on teams with winning records. 71-22 cumulative.

Everyone but the top 2 guys would be unhappy that they weren't the main guy. Somehow we have to figure out how to keep guys here for 4 years. The ONLY way we are going to compete going forward is with superior age and experience on a consistent roster.

Kinda seems we can't keep players for 4 years in Wichita anymore. In Wichita States case...you either have really good players that will want to level up to Power 5 schools after a couple seasons or enter the draft. We're kind of a "tweener" program that isn't in the Power 5 but above the lower conferences where the good players will wanna level up to a Wichita St type program. This new transfer age sucks.

In a related story, Ashley Furniture has announced that they expect to save hundreds, if not thousands, of promotional gift card dollars over the next 2+ months.

Totally agree. Even 3 yrs would be a help with the right coach.

coach brown was on the drive with lutz' today. he actually sounded pretty good.. made a lot of sense (because gregg marshall turns out good assistants/to head coaches). 10 newcomers is a tough challenge, man.

they will pick it up here pretty soon. hopefully the team hasn't quit like this message board already has.
