No fast breaks as previously mentioned before, they would just pass the ball around till they could get it close enough to the basket, which only equated to a lay up 30% of the time. It looked “kind of like” a attempt at fundamental basketball until after the K-State disaster. Lol.. After that game TE got unleashed in the worst of ways and they stopped trying to play defense. My only guess is, a bunch of players told IB they were transferring after the season before it even started so he just was never that excited about last season in general

Last night's TBT looked far more organized and intense than what we witnessed last season.

Yes and no .. it had ALOT of YMCA one on one for large sections of the game. They were just more capable of finishing it than what we saw last year.

Running a successful; fast break is good fundamental basektball. The Shocks ran breaks when they could or thought they could. Just blew most of those opportunities due to a lack of fundamentals and BBIQ. Being fundamentally sound and having good BBIQ pretty much go hand in had regardless of the style you play.

The ball didn't stick. No forced shots at the buzzer. Huge difference. Plus the defensive intensity was at a higher level.

The ball definitely stuck a lot. And while there weren't alot of forced shots at the buzzer, there were definitely forced shots early in the clock instead. Yet again..not great offense...just a collection of guys that were better at finishing.

I agree though with the defensive pressure. It was really good. And drove a lot of the offense.

To this day, he's never seen a shot he didn't like. Ball getter last night tho, 12 RBs. Team high.

Rashard Kelly was the best player on the floor.

Would you expect good, efficient offense after 2-3 practices? You shouldn’t.

Defensive pressure, Team defense, and Break offense was very good. After so few practices, this is where success will be located. Teams also will rely on good shooters, but not Team Offense.

Oh no definitely not. Just countering the viewpoint that it was some beautiful offense in comparison to our offense last year. It looked good because shots went in. There were a handful of great plays but most of the scoring was individuals creating on their own or transition offense.

So you're saying the only difference you saw between IB's offense and last night was shots going in? What I didn't see last night was dribbling around for 30 seconds just for the ball to end up in one player's hands for 35 foot chuck.

Hopefully, Coach Pierre brings some energy and life to the bench.

Yea because they took the shots way earlier in the clock lol. Doesn't mean they were drastically better shots

They were better than ETN chucks at the shot clock

stick has a weird defense for IB. Not sure what game he was watching but the AfterShock’s offense is definitely better organized than IB’s ragtag game plan. The bar is really low but to act like it’s as bad as IB’s is just hilarious.
