Imagine how Oklahoma State must of felt about that team. If you rail an opponent by 30 in a anticipated matchup, in their big downtown arena, you’re probably not expecting much in the return game on your home court the very next year. Speaking of which, as that series continues I think either home team has yet to win the game

I hope we continue the H&H matchups with Oklahoma State in the future. It's nice to have some continuity in the schedule and the matchups have been competitive thus far.

Exactly. FHCGM should have just let the assistants run that squad. He refused to let them play to their strengths… I don’t blame him for sticking to his guns, but that team could have run away from opponents if they went all-in on offense.

Isn’t that the team that told Gregg they weren’t going to play defense and went all in on offense? IIRC, Gregg said he couldn’t teach them anything and changed up the scheme to get them through the year.

Someone said they didn't use Frankamp enough that year but they did use him and he played really well early but down the stretch he went 0-fer, 0-fer, 0-fer, 1-fer, etc or something for many games. Coooold down the stretch, except for a couple games if I recall. He was exciting when on though.

I will forever wonder, if the administration knew Gregg needed anger management therapy, then why didn’t they take any action? I assume that question was one of the major factors in Boatright’s firing?

That team couldn't play solid defense to save its life. They shot themselves into victories but couldn't stop anyone from scoring on them. Had that team played average D by the 3G standards, they'd have done a lot better. As a team, they simply weren't interested and they will always be considered a disappointment because of it.

sometimes it's impossible to get someone help that has that type of personality. Only when it's too late do they realize what could have been done. Watch the Bobby Knight documentary.

Yeah, I guess *your* right. He was only the teams best post over the last 2 year.

Replacing Dex's numbers is going to be next to impossible.

Mo wasn't horrible .. that's an exaggeration ... BUT he was also the teams best post because there were not other good options. He was a passable, sometimes good post. Not great, not horrible.

Now I know your last sentence was said in sarcasm .. but it absolutely will be hard to replace Dexter .. He was AAC DPOY and probably should have been 2x DPOY ... his shooting numbers weren't great .. but his defense was elite. That will be harder to replace than having to find a new good not great post.
