Mo was always horrible against Memphis the past two years. For some reason, he was pretty good in home games against Houston, the past two years.

I don't think its fair to single out Mo against Memphis .. every single player on the team was horrible against Memphis the last 2 years.

Mo would have been an above average player if he had received ANY kind of coaching during his time here (or maybe he was just uncoachable). The issues he had just never seemed to get any better.

All signs point to the latter with Mo...

I wonder if we watched the same games...Mo played because the Shocks had
            NO
            OTHER
            OPTION.

I'm not typically a player basher, and I kind of hate this now, but how many near the hoop turnovers, missed bunnies, does one player get?

I do not retract my earlier assessment...

No matter how much you give him, ShockingButTrue wants Mo.

It was hard to watch MO sometimes. Especially when he would not pass out of a double team and force a shot up, or turn it over, or get it stripped. But he did play hard and he fought. I give him credit for that. Coach Brown had no other option but to play him.

KP played like a scared little freshman in the paint. He got pushed around like a leaf blowing in the Kansas wind. IPBC always had more skills than MO but never consistently played hard. He would simply disappear in games and play like he was in la lala land. Have not seen Quincy Ballard play or James R. But if the Shocks want to improve as a TEAM we need to get center play that shows some Mental Toughness with some physicality.

Can we get a center that plays like a MAN in the paint and can demand a double team and pass the dam ball when it happens? Go Shocks.

Now I know your last sentence was said in sarcasm .. but it absolutely will be hard to replace Dexter .. He was AAC DPOY and probably should have been 2x DPOY ... his shooting numbers weren't great .. but his defense was elite. That will be harder to replace than having to find a new good not great post.
It was obviously in sarcasm. Dex was about as efficient as was Zach Brown. If either could add some clutch scoring in a big game I'd elevate their worth some (see E. Wessel). I gave up on expecting that from either of the 2 well before they played their last game at the Roundhouse. That's my opinion.

As far as Mo goes, not bad for a 6'8" post eh? He was more effective than some (a lot really) 7 footers, or 6'11, or 6'10, or 6'9, I saw playing the same position. He damn sure took more charges than Dex ever did. Oddly, he never got credit for that on this board. He didn't credit for much of anything on this board. Heck, the forwards and guards got more credit than Mo did, as hard to believe as that is. I 100% agree with that journalist who said Mo is one of the top whatever it was transfers in the country. Was Dex on that list? Serious question. I'd be surprised if he was. It'll be great to see WSU's new post average 10+ a game and shoot over 50% from the field. That'd make him one of the team's best players right away. No need to address assists, but I'm sure someone (s) will, because the Post before Mo, that would be Echinique, wasn't exactly a J. Stockton when it came to passing the ball either.

Mo will do well at his next school. Dex? mmm...

What a hoot. If only Mo would have produced at the level of the forwards and the guards WSU would have been so much better this past season, eh? Does that spell it out enough?

My eyes tell me that certain players cannot be helped and have reached their ceiling. Others were on the coaches as you can tell they have more there but are not being utilized or coached correctly.
