Also, a partial share for Gonzaga in the XII would most likely more than make up for their travel budget and be significantly more than what they get now in the WCC.

Gonzaga would have an absolutely insane travel budget. They'd have to pay for all that travel while getting a partial revenue share.

    2) SMU bought their way into the ACC. They essentially paid hundreds of millions of dollars to get into the ACC. Why on God's green earth would the ACC want to raid more AAC schools. Those additional schools would only dilute the revenue shares, and realignment isn't happening for the purpose of reducing revenue shares.
Gonzaga is being considered as a member for all Olympic sports.

ACC is likely only adding these AAC schools if they lose quite a few members. You are correct that adding schools like Memphis, USF, Tulane, etc. would likely dilute revenue sharing under the current model.

    Does that matter anymore?

You don’t have to have their votes.

It would keep the number of schools in the Big 12 at an even number and give Gonzaga a basketball-only partner school in the conference. Plus, Wichita would fit perfectly in the geographic footprint of the Big 12.

It's not going to happen if the AAC loses it's top schools to the ACC

I actually don't care much about the amateur/paid vs. not being paid aspect, but the biggest problem I have is the absolute disregard for tradition in favor of money.

I'm the biggest capitalist in the world, but the constant pursuit of a better bottom line within the context of college sports has caused a couple of issues (namely the loss of rivalries that invigorate fans and the detriment of flagship programs like Nebraska football - Texas and OU are next), none of which can be remedied at this point.

Ditto... college sports are no longer amateur sports and I never cared much for the pro sports, of which college sports is now teetering on.
