We're almost trained to think and worry that if our program has a great season that some other school will snatch up our coach without a fight. The administration has done a good job the past ten years in transforming our coaching position from a pure stepping stone to arguably the best non-BCS coaching job in the country. Hell, this gig is better than a lot of BCS jobs--and Marshall has even said that himself. There's only a handful of programs in the country that have to consider coaching changes only when their guy retires or sucks, but newsflash, we're not Alcorn State either. Whether Marshall stays or leaves is not up to us, and let's not fuel this defeatist attitude by continually bringing it up. It's like the guy who constantly worries that his girlfriend is going to break up with him, jeez."It's amazing to watch Ron slide into that open area, Fred will find him and it's straight cash homie."--HCGM

Jans wouldn't be a hire just to save a recruiting class. Many feel he's ready to lead a team. He has a lot of Valley experience and has been a hell of a recruiter and is 3Gs right hand man.
Good news is 3G isn't going anywhere. Bad news is Jans may be a head coach somewhere else next year...Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan
RIP Guy Always A Shocker
Carpenter Place - A blessing to many young girls/women
ICT S.O.S - Great local cause fighting against human trafficking
Wartick Insurance Agency - Saved me money with more coverage.

None of us know what next season will be until its over. This is all just speculation but I just don't see a big drop off next year. I really like what we have coming back (Williams, Hall, Orukpe, Armstead, White, Cotton) and have faith that when Coach says this is his best recruiting class ever he knows what he's talking about.
This is either just another step in the Marshall plan or its the final leg of the Marshall plan. I know not what will happen in the future and have no control anyways so, in this case, I don't care to worry about it. What happens, happens and at the end of the day I will be there to root for whoever may play or coach for the shockers.
Thanks for a great season, fellas. As always, I'm already looking forward to shocker madness.

I was as upset last night as I've been in a long, long time when it comes to a team losing. But, 'the day after', I can see a brighter light. This program is on the rise and will only get better. It's tough pulling for a team that constantly has to defend itself against 2 teams that refuse to play; I so wanted to shove 'success' in the face of so many KU and KStaters. But it wasn't meant to be. I'm still stunned that our experience really gave us no advantage, but it is what it is: a game played by very young men with the weight of a cities expectations.
Looking forward to next year.
