Next years team should be a good one. Will be young but nothing wrong with that.

Next year will be unpredictable but no reason to think we can't come together late in the season and do something special. We have a good core coming back and a lot of serious talent coming in. I'm excited about watching a new team next year.

It hurts because we had so many seniors and a team that was deep and capable of beating anyone in the country. Who knows if and when we will get another chance like this? I hope we do in my lifetime. But I have only seen WSU in the big dance twice in the last 25 years. This really hurts.

Next season will be a rebuilding year.

I don't doubt they will be pretty good and may even have a chance to get into the dance (although the NIT or CBI might be more realistic). But if they do get to the dance they won't have the deep talent to go far like this year's team had. Now maybe in two or three years, but let's face it, it doesn't happen very often for WSU. We need to take advantage of these opportunities when we get them. And we couldn't do it this year. That's what really makes this loss hurt so bad.

We will be top 3 in the MVC with a chance to play our way in to the NCAA tournament. Somehow once again, we will have Seniors that will balance out all of the underclassmen: Williams, Hall, Orupke and Anaecron.

make Jans the head coach and you might be able to keep the recruits if Marshall left

Yep, plenty to be optimistic about going forward. I think the sadness is mostly for the great group of seniors we had. Fine individuals they all are, and successful they will be! They accomplished what no other WSU team has done in the previous 5 seasons!

Sorry, nothing against Jan's (I don't really know if he is the right man or not if Marshall leaves), but u don't hire an assistant just because he might stop the blood-letting in the near term. You better be hiring a coach for with a long term perspective. This recruiting class is being brought in to run Marshall schemes not Jans or somebody else.
