      Don’t be so sure.

Is Boatright aware of how hated he is now and is that why he has gone into hiding?

          ... No really, deuces.

That’s cool to know. There’s some big names on there.

An interim president chose the AD versus the most popular and winningest coach ever? One that had public opinion in his favor and big donors support in writing via the paper? And we are to believe that said interim president had a way to keep the coach, appease the donors, piss off no one by firing the AD, and did not do it? That does not pass the smell test.

Welp, call him up and ask him to write an apology straight to the Eagle and tell it straight to the fans that he is ready and waiting and see if it moves the needle.

Let it all be transparent and let people decide what they think. Meanwhile, bring Shaq on as a graduate assistant if he’s willing and the whole thing ends. Let him be the man to say it’s time to bring back Marshall. Not saying he would, but that would certainly end it all.

I’ve never felt like any of it made sense. Even the fact that he never moved away.

All of it is too weird for me.

Believe what you want to believe. It is naïve to think the press knows absolutely everything that happened or happened. But yes, the questions about the decision are well-founded. That's what went down.

Also FWIW, I was the first poster to announce the Henry Levitt Arena update in 2000? Lots of folks doubted me but I think I might have been a week ahead of the press announcements.

There's a lot of context missing here. There was a heavy scorched-earth BLM movement, a woke movement, and a media personality all flogging Marshall with a guilty stick. Left to their own devices, the investigating attorneys were always going to find him guilty.

But let's be honest ... that's 100% on Boatright. A competent AD that wants to keep a specific coach doesn't hide silently behind investigating lawyers. He dives in, goes to bat for the coach, and makes sure the attorneys support whatever outcome he wants to happen. Boatright stayed silent to save his own neck and get that fat reward, instead of going to bat for Marshall.

I might be more upset about this NOW than I was then.

Gregg Marshall coming back is not an option. His separation makes that impossible!

Everything is negotiable. Everything. ESPECIALLY at a university.

(I'm not saying there's a chance in Hell that he's coming back. I'm just saying that if the right people wanted it to happen, it would happen.)

The leadership at WSU has been clear as to what they don’t value. I don’t know what the **** it is they DO value, but it isn’t high level athletics, in basketball anyway.

So an interim president was willing to alienate the big donors, and this led him to becoming the president? So I guess the donors really don't have as much influence as they think they have, or want to have? And who are the counter-balancing forces? Muma is willing to alienate the big money donors to apease whom?
