Expect FHCGM to pop up at an SEC school in the near future. Just a gut feeling. But yes, this scenario would be so dope!

Associate Head Coach is just another fancier Asst. Coach title. But we know this isn’t serious and won’t happen.

Well if most people or businesses are faced with a difficulty or expense, the obvious question is to look for a solution.
I think of the Dire Straights song ... " money for nothing".
The chick's don't dig the current situation. Somebody please use the expenditures to restore succesd.

I hate to say this and I know almost everyone here will come at me for it...

Gregg Marshall deserved to get fired. No matter if this program never reaches the NCAA Tournament again, there is no scenario where he should've remained the head coach of this program. He made a very costly mistake that are (almost) unexcusable for a coach at ANY level that day by striking one of his players. That alone didn't have to and shouldn't have had to result in his firing, thus the almost. However, when some of the biggest Shocker hoops alumni come out (including Ron Baker) come out and say "Yeah, he did it. He did a lot of amazing stuff for me and family though too." you can't put out a statement denying that any of the accusations ever happened and acting like you did no wrong. If Marshall would've publicly apologized, taken a fairly hefty suspension and some kind of PR stunt anger management class, he would still be here. It's not all on him, either. In his situation, knowing that the AD knew and covered it up, he had a way to ensure he at the very least got a very well paid long term vacation out of it, and he took that safe route which nobody blames him for. At this point it's fairly well known that although the program wasn't perfect and there were certainly some toxic elements, winning made up for it until that point. It could've kept making up for it if Gregg had admitted it and we could've moved forward as a university, ala Juwan Howard, Boeheim with the child creeper on staff, Pitino and the abortion etc. Gregg is an incredible person, incredible community member of Wichita, and a great leader of young men who has a competitive fire and energy that sometimes gets him into trouble. He could've worked past that if the circumstances were different. They weren't, and WSU made the only right choice in the situation. He's not coming back and given the way things went down, the right decisions were ultimately made. It really f'in sucks, and a-holes like Good Man (and to a lesser extent, our former #24), made the situation worse for their personal gain. We ALL still wish Gregg Marshall was our head man. But with the hand the university was dealt, the appropriate choice was made.

                    Sorry for the rant.

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, etc. etc. etc

No No, we appreciate all of the NEW information you were able to export with your rant. It’s only been 18 months since it all happened, and I’m sure you’ve been very busy, and unable to get this NEW information off of your chest. We all hope your burden feels lighter.

I’m not coming at you for your opinion. Only for your need to say things that have been repeatedly said again, and again, during the past 18 months. I apologize for my sarcasm and hope you get my drift on the redundancy of your statements. Did I mention that I’m being redundant?

My current concern is our current coach.

I was hoping 18 months was long enough for most Shocker fans to be ready to have a rational discussion about why 3G was fired and that it was the right choice to avoid an even larger PR disaster and ever be able to recruit again, but I doubt you ready past my first sentence before making up your mind. Just because the right decision was made in that specific situation doesn't mean that any of the decisions made after were, e.g. hiring IB, extending Boatright, etc were, and you can read through my posts and see my opinion on those is surely the same as yours.

You’re driving many basketball fans away because the current situation and losing doesn’t appeal to them. That is what you should be discussing, and I have no desire to look back at your past posts.

Howard struck an opposing coach on camera and returned today. Boeheim's kid struck a kid on camera and Petino has a laundry list of allegations. Marshall paid a price for something that may have happened 6 years prior.
I wasn't a fan of Gruden but people change and times change. If an incident wasn't important at the time, live and learn. I'm really not a fan of CNN's Cuomo. But be honest. Take him down for current woke failure, not a disgusting proposal years prior. Where was the accusation years prior?

As I have discussed many, many times with very strong opinions on the matter, losing doesn't appeal to me either. I don't think anyone currently employed, administratively or in the bball program is worth half a ****. I'm not a Shocker Faithful dumbass. But Wichita State was not Gregg Marshall University, it is a program with deep tradition and history that would've allowed any coach with the right vision to be immensely successful here. It was not his firing that got us to where we are. It was the absolute incompetence that followed.
