I’ve been merciless in private on Mo , and until he leaves he will drive me crazy, BUT he can do things on a court that a scant percent of people ever can.
True. He has the gifts that could make him a very strong presence. The aggravating part is when he doesn’t use those gifts well…and some of the issues are basic. And, as I said before, he hasn’t been used correctly at times, either.

It's a shame we have a shotage of mental health resources in this country. You need help.. No no put the bottle down.!!! Now is not the time for another shot of whiskey.. Go Shocks.

      • I’m great. Never better. Look at the level of discussion since my posts. Well above the negative Nancy lovin lack of depth and insight SF loves. (My hero)

Great work SN. Did a brief recap on the Fire Isaac Brown of what I think the real consensus is. A win is a win, and once we get to the conference tournament, it doesn’t matter how it looks. Either you have it and kee winning or don’t and lose. I hope the boys leave it all on the court.

I’ll ignore the mental health advertisement right above and ask you two questions… given the Shockers lack of quality depth ( or ANY depth) in the post , how would you play Mo different? And two… Qua….. has he grown into a role or should he have been playing more?
          I’ll hang up and listen

          • Qua has grown the last 2 games. It’s no different than how it took Samaje a while to figure out how to score against better athletes. The true test for Qua is if this can carry over to better competition.

The lack of effort blocking out drives me crazy. Watch Mo when shots go up, and see how few times he blocks his guy off. He's not the only one. Welcome aboard on Porter.

I have terrifying dreams about Mo not passing out of double and triple teams. My wife watches the team from NE Kansas and said their big guy does a good job of passing out of those situations giving their shooters open three’s. Mo could increase our three point percentage significantly with a few simple outlet passes.

I loved his recent 9/9 free throw performance and he should be commended for it, but he frequently drives WstateU to the liquor cabinet… probably more than any player in the last 50 years. I shake my head so much my pea brain rattles.

                  Wow, your dreams suck!

It speaks for itself doesn't it? Nothing I can add to that, based on this years results.

If only the team had a legit post, eh?

Mo, lack of effort? But citing Porter's lazy a** in the same post? Porter literally quit on several plays yesterday. Now, for some of our more 'genteel' posters, I'm not knocking the kid. Porter's serviceable. Just telling the truth.

But really, what next, if WSU was in the Valley Porter would look like the next Magic? Why, they'd be running all over inferior teams like Loyola & the Bulldogs!

Speaking of which, Loyola and Drake should be a good game today, eh? Oh, wait...

Yeah, I'm sure that's why Porter's 6'2" lazy a** has only 28 blocks in the 25 games he's played (leading the team) and tied for 3rd in rebounds per game.

The mental health thing is just too stupid to respond to. Legend in his own mind.
But happy to have good discourse.
MO—-I’ll give you an example. Remember the K-State game? He was having what turned out to be about his first 10 minuets of the season during the first half. They fed him. He posted well. He was aggressively attacking the basket. Alas, the game plan changed and all that stopped…as did the Shocker offense. There was no inside presence after that and they were able to key in on TE even more…who had, like on many nights this year, an off shooting night. Not establishing that inside presence in a lot of games was a big issue.
In addition, Mo need to go, for those easier bunnies (and this goes for all the team) with a far more aggressive and strong presence. How many points did we leave on the floor yesterday simply by just not going up strong. It’s killed us all year.
MUCH work needs to be done in the weight room with our players. One only needs to look at the bodies of the players on the best teams. Our guys looks so physically immature against these schools. Upper body strength is needed by our big men. We get pushed around a lot.
I’ve never really thought MO bought into our system. Remember, he left the program once but then didn’t find a new home (or a place that wanted him all that much). He came back. He seemingly wanted to shoot from way outside…which certainly wasn’t a smart idea based on the results. Working to more of a presence inside is his only hope.
As far as Qua (who I haven’t had any comments about this year)….I think the step up to the “big leagues” has been tougher on him than on most players. His confidence has been lacking. He needs to build upon his successes…yes, I think he’s finally finding his role…and I hope we can build upon that. He may be one of the few who will be returning.

Yep. PAINFULLY obvious all season and glaringly painfully obvious in this game. Some just don't get it. Grant is a nice D2 player. Udeze is a turnover machine who lacks the ability to evolve his game. Probably a nice MVC player.
