They could find another JOB. Work is what so many students are doing to get through college. Some hold down multiple jobs and are paying full tuition. They are also called to standards every day. The players had a choice to accept that scholarship or not. And using your “logic”, at a state institution, at least part of their “salary” (scholarship) is paid for by you and me…either through state funding or ticket sales. The fan has a say as well. And, the “effort” has been in question MUCH of this year.

Mostly disagree on your “ effort” take…playing dumb , yes, but most games, effort has been good… uneven talent and experience leads to that in my inexpert eyes

I agree with you on playing dumb…and it isn’t all players that have “lacked effort”…some are still hustling. But, there are others who have checked Out from time to time. As far as talent, we were told many times that there was so much talent on this team. It has either decreased, has been unfulfilled, or hasn’t been coached right. Whatever the scenario, it’s caused a rough season.

you can battle and be friendly simultaneously in sports. The only hate needed is the hate to lose.

I still believe that this team + a good big would have done well this year.
Many of us are disappointed in the guys attitudes or lack of interest over the 2nd half of the season.
All I can say about that is, that it should have been expected. Their coach never really changed much or any of their offense. Took 3/4 of the season before deciding the TE hero ball was not the way to close a close game and never learned the value of bench time for stupid plays by players when they occur. And after an entire regular season, never figured out that JP is a really good player at the YMCA level, but not D1.
I support and appreciate all of the kids, even JP. They gave great effort and had many disappointments, which is tough to maintain any kind of interest or confidence. They totally lacked big men and good coaching.

in my time that was not unusual.

Many of us were calling out from the very early games the very same things that other caught on to much later. Hero ball was a problem from about the 3rd or 4th game. I remember several calling out Tyson’s game ending shot in the first game as the worst thing that happened to him this year…and we noted that very early in the season. From early on, it was obvious to many of us that something “wasn’t right with this team”. There have been issues all year. You would hope, that by the end of the regular season, things would have greatly improved. We see glimpses…but a lot of times where things just haven’t improved. Sure do hope we have a better post-season than last year…that’s when many of these issues started to reveal themselves.

the deep corner dragging their big out opening up the middle for CP and RC.
Now, MU had a pretty good game but when he is in it clogs up the middle.
TE was horrible the 2nd half. KP needs to really work on he corner three
point shot. Opponents center will never chase MU to the corner but hang
back to help in the lane. KP in the corner was an intangible most will not
notice.
