Would a 6 seed really be that bad?

As can all teams. But looking at the history of THIS team, odds are they'll be focused and play. Every teams loses a game or two they shouldn't. It happens. There's no sense in being worried. And if you are worried, why would you want to face a tougher opponent right out of the gates rather than playing a weaker team and getting that bounce back?
The reality is, this team is damn good and can beat anybody in the country given the chance. Stop being scared of a 1 seed.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

Personally, I'd prefer the easiest team possible every game, but that is what I think he is trying to say.Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

Fresh bracketology matrix thru last night's games...
They have the Shockers as the highest five seed....on average..but looks pretty uniform agreement on a 5.

A look at recent history makes for an interesting debate. Since 05' the teams on the side of the 2 seed have made it 15 times, whereas the teams on the side of the 1 have made it only 8. Of those 15 that made it to the Elite 8 on the side of the 2, 9 were 3 seeds. Perhaps this indicates that taking on the 1 would be a better scenario. Another thing I found interesting, of the teams that made it to the Elite 8 on the side of the 1, only Arizona last year didn't make it at least to the Final 4. I expected to look at it and want to be a 6, but instead I am now really hopeful for a 4 or a 5, especially in a year where two of the 1's will essentially be a 2 any way.
Teams on the side of the 1 that made it to the Elite 8:
4 Louisville - Final 4
4 LSU - Final 4
4 Kentucky - Final 4
5 Michigan St. - Final 4
5 Michigan St. - Final 4
5 Butler - National Runner Up
5 Arizona - Elite 8
8 Butler - National Runner Up
Teams on the side of the 2 that made it to the Elite 8:
3 Arizona - Elite 8
3 Florida - National Champions
3 Oregon - Elite 8
3 Louisville - Elite 8
3 Xavier - Elite 8
3 Villinova - Final 4
3 Missouri - Elite 8
3 Baylor - Elite 8
3 UConn - National Champions
6 Wisconsin - Elite 8
6 Tennessee - Elite 8
7 West Virginia - Elite 8
10 Davidson - Elite 8
11 George Mason - Final 4
11 VCU - Final 4
