Why does everyone think we'll have a mass exodus? Didn't you all see how excited they were when IB announced he is the permanent head coach? They got what they wanted, why would they leave that?

What players (except for Shaq, who was ultra lazy) want more than anything is to win. They want to play in the NCAA tournament. Another year of whatever you call this year and recruiting will be much harder.

Fair points. With that said, 95 percent of Shockernet is opinion and gut feelings. Unless someone has an inside source, there wouldn't be a lot to talk about if it was just the plain facts.

I know all of us fans 'know' basketball, but really I'm guessing few of us KNOW what it takes to make a basketball team play well....myself included. I chuckle a lot at the wisdomm sometimes...like if yelling "BLOCK OUT !' at the top of our lungs fixes things...

I'm undoubtedly in that category. Fan forums are fun though. I wish I would have been on here during the F4 run. Part of what makes sports, especially collegiate sports, special is sharing/discussing the ups and downs with people who have the level of passion that you do.

As other posters have mentioned, the real concern is when this part of the fanbase becomes apathetic. If you lose the support or care of the folks on here, the program has a major problem.

Is the CBI the tournament has a fee in order to participate? I doubt that will be of interest to WSU this year.

Are any of the other tournaments outside big dance and nit taking place? Personally, if we can't make the nit field then I just can't garner much interest as a fan. I know, I know it's great for team and player development...perhaps this is the first sign of the A word setting in.

The only good news about our situation is that Houston, Cincy, and UCF will be leaving and UAB, Charlotte, Florida Atlantic, UNT, Rice, and UTSA are coming in. Maybe our "situation" won't be as noticeable in a year or two.

Taylor mentions he doesn't expect Dex or Etienne to return based on conversations with those two. (No surprise there)

Mentions the 5 that are graduating (including Dex) and says any of them could choose Pro paths....etc.

Does say Porter said he WILL play college ball next year. So he may return.

But of course Porter could elect to transfer and play elsewhere instead.

Just have to see what happens. I expect a pretty big roster turnover personally.
