Great show tonight. Marshall got his points across in a roundabout way. Illinois State gets to enjoy the CBI/NIT. We move forward and get a good shot on a neutral court.

Loved the one liners tonight. I don't think I've laughed this much at a coach's show in a while. Good stuff!

Just listened to the show on the Internet here in Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Coach Gregg Marshall is a big time coach. He is the complete package. He seemed to go out of his way to show appreciation to the fans tonight. Looking forward to the Shocks ripping another multi-game win streak, but this time in the BIG Dance. Go Shox!!!

Marshall talked about VanVleet during the show. He said Fred's mom texted him a picture while he was in St. Louis of Fred with a net hanging around his neck. Coach Marshall said that he needs to get used to that attire.

He said that VanVleet is a lot like Nick Moore from Illinois State. He said Dana Ford swears that VanVleet is better than Moore. He said VanVleet is mature enough that he won't need to redshirt.

I'm excited about FVV. Can someone refresh my memory? When was the last time the Shox had a true freshman PG as the starter?

I don't know, but I doubt that it will be next year, KC. Malcolm Armstead will be a fifth year senior and is a proven leader who came from Oregon, where he was one of the better PGs in his league. If Fred can keep him on the bench, WSU's PG position will be just as good next year if not better, which is saying something.

The future looks bright indeed.

Just from what I have seen online of VanVleet and of Moore on TV and in person - I would say it is a good comparison. VanVleet likely stronger.

You would have to have the original in print, unless you can recall exactly what was said in the original..the only one showing now is the edited version. He no longer states "conspiracy theory or bullying."

His opinion now says "vendetta," but doesn't really say Coach Marshall said these things; it appears to be aimed more at readers that would suggest such things. Shockernet posters most likely, it is widely accepted that he reads it.
