Listen to Wedge speak - he gets me excited about Baseball. That is the way it should be.
WSU is reverting back to the norm. Great baseball, average to poor basketball

      That is not the norm.

Baseball hasn’t done anything great yet.

Totally agree. Listen we all feel good about having Wedge back but not sure I understand the sentiment that baseball is back and turned the corner. Need to see postseason before I'm ready to say that.

Random thought. Didn’t know where to put this, so since baseball and basketball were mentioned here, I will add it here.

Going back to 1988-89 school year (32 years if you don’t count 19-20 school year or this current one), 28 of the 32 school years had either baseball or men’s basketball in the NCAA Tournament. Not bad. One of the teams has usually been pretty good.

What would you guess if I asked how many times both programs danced in the same school year? If you didn’t think too hard, you might take a stab at the 4-7 range.

Would you believe that the answer is actually only once in 2006 (twice if you count 2013 in which baseball vacated wins)? It’s amazing that both programs can’t get their crap together at the same time.

              78-65

Anybody see the email sent out today to season ticket holders suggesting that they are going to ramp up the mask police tomorrow? Just curious about thoughts? May as well make sure as few people as possible attend the games at this point.

Just keep a nacho in your hand. Glue it to a finger. I think it's the same effect as a mask but much more comfortable.

Is leadership trying to kill attendance even more?

                      Dear WstateU,

Conference play is upon us, as well as the midway point of the 2021-22 basketball seasons. Gameday isn't completely back to normal, but we're inching closer every day. Thank you for showing up to support the Shockers and for helping us slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community. These may seem mutually exclusive, but we're committed to making our game environment both safe and special for players, coaches and fans alike. We ask that you continue to help us comply with any applicable COVID-19 requirements, including our campus policy requiring the use of face masks inside all campus building.

To further assist our fans, we are making masks available at all entrances for those who might have forgotten theirs. We continue to utilize others measures, designed to speed up the entry process, including our mobile ticketing platform and clear bag policy. We remind fans to stay home if they are feeling sick and to wash their hands regularly. And if you are feeling well... show up, be loud and cheer your team to victory! Great seats are still available for all remaining home games, through the Shocker Ticket Office at 978-FANS (3267) or goshockers.com/Tickets.

                      See you at the Roundhouse!

Masks aren’t gonna stop omicron. Dumb just keep getting dumber.

And yes, they are financially writing their own death certificates.

Even the CDC agrees. It's the stupidest thing and complete theater.

When the place was packed and sold out, being tough on attendees was ok, I guess. Now it is reeeeally stupid.

Side topic, but I wonder if degenerating fan behavior (national phenomena) will (or has) spill over into college basketball and cause further declines in attendance?
