Shockers will come out of this with flying colors! But, saying that referees don't decide games is wrong. The best referee jobs are done when they really noticed during the games (if by so called experts). The more I read on this post, the more I believe (watched the game) that is was very poorly officiated. Even though WSU shot poorly or excuted poorly is not the problem. Good teams find a way to win, like good defense, etc. Murray's defense on Brown when the ball went out of bounds at 18 seconds probably would have won the game for WSU. On the 10 second call, I know the referee moves his arms back and forth for the count. If you watched other games they are usually right on with the time clock, but not in this case. I am not an expert or claim to be one. These are the facts that have been presented and no I have never refereed a game.

That's why they need to change the rule and have it based off the shot clock. How hard could that be. Just have a buzzer or some unique sound go off at the 25-second mark of the shot clock.

The way it is now, some referees count faster or slower than others.

Now you've really teeed me off...before you start spouting off big-time officiating opportunities you better include the South Hiram Street 4-foot and under Gummy Bear Nerf Championships. I, very proudly, happen to be the Director of Officials and have a signed (although stained with chocolate milk) certificate proclaiming my status with this fine organization. Any disputes about how I officiate these championship games brings an automatic timeout next to the barrel of orange cones. Don't mess with my trah - lah - lah and don't leave out the SHSGBNC when substantiating the standards of officials.

WSU lost beacuse they shot horribly. I don't think that there is a planned movement behind the scenes against WSU, and neither does Coach Marshall (Lutz, you clown). Having said that: Did Williams even touch that guy on the foul call that gave ISU their winning margin in the form of two free-throws? That's the one that chapped me. I see that kind of ticky-tac officiating in college basketball all too often.
