This is probably what happens when we don't have cold weather like we're supposed to this time of year. I assume viruses don't like cold weather.

In and of itself weather has no effect on a virus. The reason people get sick more often in the winter is because they congregate indoors more in the winter, thus increasing the risk of exposure and the ease of which the virus can travel to one body to the next.
