At season's end, I am in the "muddle in the middle" camp. I believe the league truly is down this season.

Down from last year? I don't see it even close. Not as good a league as 2006, 2007, yes.
But 2010 and 2011? We were second and the league only sent one team. 2010, our champion went far into the tourney but last year, we only sent ISUb who went no where.

Had UNI and MSU not shat their pants in conference, they could have had a chance on the tourney.

Call me crazy but if Evansville can get by Missouri State, I think they might beat Creighton. For whatever crazy Creighton has problems with them.

Creighton has problems against Missouri St. as well...their win against them was only by 1 after all. I think either team is well capable of beating CU. Creighton needs to get back to the way they were playing earlier in the year if they want to make the finals.

Indy St. will be a tough out no doubt, but let's get some revenge for last year.

Merely for fun, I looked at some "Tree posts" of which I will quote one; this isn't for any "rivalry" or "bulletin board" material [because (i) WSU doesn't need it. & (ii) If our players wanted to do so, they could go to the ISU(b) site and look for themselves.] but because it is such a long time until the next game and we need something to discuss (other than KU, KSU, MU, etc.).

I see the guys going into this game with a chip on their shoulder. If I were SIU, I'd be prepared that a sleeping giant has been awaken. I'm expecting a 10+ point victory with a message sent to the rest of the MVC that we've come to defend our title. We've played WSU well in both games. I'm sure WSU has looked at the bracket and have taken notice on how difficult their first game could be. Be afraid!!!

I kind of like their feisty attitude because, if they get by SIU, I want them to go into the game expecting to win. As for their mood after the game, ... :heart-borken:

I think the shockers make the finals whoever they play and creighton gets boat raced whoever they play on sat MSU or Evansville.

I actually like how the schedule has ended as far as keeping the team focused after losing to Drake.
MSU - focus on who finished first last year and MVC's most hated player.
ISUB - focus on who kept us out of the championship game last year
UNI - focus on who kept us out of the NCAA tourney two years ago.
Creighton - focus on the other team in contention.
MSU - see above.
Davidson - ESPN and ranking on the line.
ISUR - focus on clinching title
Drake - Senior Day
Tournament - focus on last year starting with, I'm supposing, ISUB
