    Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

      The MVC gets a fixed amount of money per game played in the tourney. So three teams with losses = 3 "shares" and two Sweet 16 teams = 6 "shares." Getting two good seeds MAY yield more "shares" (& more money) than getting three teams with worse seeds.

          I want Creighton in the final. I have a feeling that we mentally own those guys after the traumatic beatdown we issued in Omaha.

            Wichita State's side of the Bracket versus Creighton's Side of the Bracket

            WSU is 8 and 0, while CU is 6 and 2;

            WSU averaged 75.0 points on offense, while CU average 74.9 points on offense;

            WSU averaged 61.0 points on defense, while CU average 71.1 points on defense; and

            WSU margin spread was 14.0 points, while CU had a margin spread of 3.8 points.

                If we can't win, the only scenario that I see as a help to WSU would be if UNI won it all. It would have a minimal affect on our RPI and our record vs the top 50 would go from 2-3 to 4-4. All that said, I would much much rather we win the Valley Tourney with a solid shot at a 3 seed and likely minimum of a 4 seed. This puts us as the top team in our first weekend and would make tickets very easy to come by for Shocker fans.

                  Evansville scares me more than CU. With Colt, he's capable of going off for 40 on you. Although, one of the best aspects of our defense this year has been the ability to shut down or at least minimize the impact of the opponent's #1 scorer. McDermott, Ryan, Weems - none of them have hurt us two bad. I guess I'd say Odum is the guy who's given us the most problems.

                    I am with the moose on this one. My first preference would be for WSU to win it. But if we don't then a UNI win would help our resume and UNI's resume is decent enough (they already have 3 top 50 wins) that if they won the tourney they would get a better seed than any of the other non-CU teams (they wouldn't be a 14).

                    The other scenerio would be for us to best CU in the final. It would be a battle of 2 top 25 teams. That would be good for the Valley and us. It gives us a chance to get another top 25 win.

                    Beating someone like UE in the final really doesn't do much to help our resume and if UE actually won they end up with a 14 seed (so they don't really help the Valley that much other than a one round share of money and the prestige of being a 3 bid conference which actually is kind of important).

                      Is it possible that if UNI goes 1-1 that they can go back to top 50?

                        According to rpiforecast, UNI would have to win the tournament to get back into the top 50.
