Creighton is in, period. The selection committee will hold their nose while doing it, but if someone other than us two wins the tournament, three Valley teams will be dancing.

Actually Creighton should be going into the post-season feeling like destiny is on their side. The have won the last three only by absolutely good fortune.

Creighton has won their past three games by a combined 4 points. But as Wu says, he'll take a 1 pointer any day.

sCUm has backed their way into a lot of wins this year..

I think things are catching up with them.
            Deuces Valley.
            ... No really, deuces.

I've never seen a more lucky team in my life. If any of their "luck" would ever follow them to the NCAA tourney, they might have a championship or two on their resume. Their last few wins are just damn lucky in my book. I predict it runs out in St. Louis.

OMG - he almost killed him. Tough call to make at the end of the game, but it was there, big time.
Just saw the replay again on ESPN. WOW if I were Odum I'd press charges, that was a brutal shot delivered by the man in pink shoes. No wonder people say he's such a defensive stopper.

The Valley needs to get back to two or more selections for the NCAA. Just don't want to see it happen this year as we all know what that would mean.

Very interesting last nine games of the year for WSU and CU. The Shockers were coming into the "hard" part of their conference. They were going to have 4 games at home, 5 on the road (including the BB), play MSU twice, and CU there (having already lost to them at home). CU had a balanced schedule playing 5 at home (including the BB) and 4 on the road.

So what happened: CU went 6-3, 4-3 over the last 7 in which 3 of the 4 wins were by a total of 4 points.

WSU, after losing @ Drake in 3 OT, won the last eight to go 8-1. Over the last 6 games (UNI, @ CU, MSU, @ Davidson, @ Ill St, and Drake), they won every game by no fewer than 13 points, averaging a 19 point winning margin.

Note: WSU had 19 double digit wins, won 10 by 21 or more including wins of 37, 39, 43, 49, and 50. 10 of the double digit wins were in the second half of the season. CU had 14 double digits wins, but only 5 in the second half.

I agree. Their rpi is 24. They have 4 top 50 wins. They are IN.

We had some squeakers earlier in the year and I feel like those close wins only made the team stronger.

Creighton has played some good teams lately and came away with wins. I think we see them again on Sunday in St Louis. Pretty sure well handle them again but it's hard to forget they beat us at Koch arena this year.

I don't carry the same animosity towards Creighton as I used to. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that Diana left. Missouri State and Northern Iowa are much more villainous lately due to Weems and the tattoo crew.

Creighton looks like a tired team right now. Since they are a lock the best thing for them tourney wise may well be an early exit from the Arch Madness!

Ever since the Drake loss, HC3GM has gone back to digging a little deeper into the bench to give good spot minutes to the support crew. Good stuff.
