Why not UAB and UTSA and stop? Why the f are they adding 6. 14 teams in what will be like a 1.5 bid conference? Especially when Memphis bails.

I hate to say this but please go back to Valley because without football this new AAC makes zero sense for WSU.

MVC would be much better than this crap show.
I don’t see Memphis, SMU, USF, Temple or WSU staying in this conference much longer.

        CUSA 2.0

        From a basketball perspective:

I like UAB. Don't hate Charlotte or UNT. Hate UTSA, FAU, Rice.

Big East or bust at this point.

If Temple stays in the AAC, the demise of its once proud basketball program is inevitable. Owls need to emulate UConn's model and go ALL-IN on hoops and head back to the Atlantic 10.

                Jon knows.

WSU needs to run, and run fast.

the AAC was a great marriage, until it wasn’t.

I like UAB. UNT is fine. Charlotte has history. The other 3 are horrible.

Memphis is the only thing separating this league from the MVC+Murray/Belmont. If Memphis gets a XII invite and we can’t get into the Big East or MWC, I would absolutely take MVC+Murray/Belmont over AAC-Memphis.

It’s ok. I’m sure Boatright is on top of this.

I think it's six because they know there will be future defections and there is no point in going through this twice. I think the additions make sense but obviously Boatright should be doing whatever he can to get a Big East invite.

Temple actually cares about their football program. UConn almost lost to an FCS team that doesn't have scholarship players. Very few schools have the cache to go independent in football. If Temple goes to the A10 they are essentially killing their football program and the money that comes with it (even if it makes sense for basketball).

Everything is going according to plan... kinda.

I hoped for **** selections, then a mass exodus to the MWC w/ Tulsa, SMU, and Memphis. But trying to add this many at a time likely keeps the conference from dissolving, which means EXIT FEE$$$. What needs to happen now is we need enough schools to reject the schools proposed. Then we need not only us, Tulsa, SMU, and Memphis to bolt, we need some help from ECU and Temple. The remaining few will add any and everybody proposed.

We're definitely leaving this conference, I just don't want to have to pay to leave. That's ****ing embarrassing.
